Description The same scene, character, jewels, lights, camera angle etc.
The only differences are:
- some minor ajustement of the lips (I have reduced the upper lip width and volume by 7,5 % and increased the lower lip width by 15%).
- the use of another make-up option of the same Victoria 7 skin material/texture + another eyes color.
- of course, as mentioned in the title, the use of the new audioslave74's N.G.S. Anagenessis 2 - Revolution shader !
- the lack of the subtle dark vignette effect added in PS using Nik Tools (that was present in the first version of the image).

Not sure that you could have improved it but you did!  She is just simply stunning in all aspects.  I must be an "eye" person, because hers are just riveting! Bravo

Thank you, Mel !
It's an interesting opinion, because other people said they prefer the first version (myself included).
Not because NGS 2 is worse than my "old" shader, but because I don't know how tweaking and fiddle with NGS 2 settings yet.

I mean aesthetically the skin is more pleasing in the previous one...but sometimes (depending on lighting) the skin would not have all that shinyness.  Your first one the skin looks more moist (hate that word lol) but this one has more of a realistic diffuse shine missing a few hot spots and the overall lighter skin tone and I like the lips better in this one.  For me personally I'm not a fan of the NGS 2 except to give life to the older generation figures.  I should have been more detailed in my explanation of what I meant in terms of better.  It's hard sometimes writing and getting across exactly what I mean.  In the past I have preferred your shaders more.  I think the perfect shader would be if you could marry the before shader with this one and I think you'd have the perfect one.  Maybe overlay them on top of on another and do a 50/50 and see what it looks like??  I like his first one, but will admit I still struggle knowing which each setting does.  So I can only imagine trying to figure out his 2nd one and getting it optimal.  I didn't purchase it as it was a bit too expensive for my taste...so I really can't say.  But it seems plenty of people love it.

Yes, you are absolutely right, each shader has its advantages and disadvantages, but I think that the perfect solution would be to do a 50/50 mix of both renders in Photoshop, exactly as you suggested !
Thank you, Mel !

PS: audioslave74 will release a NGS 2 User's Guide this week-end and, hopefully, we all will learn to better fiddling with the settings in order to obtain the skin look that we want in various situations.

I look forward to seeing if it works out well that way....very curious myself.
Yea, Audioslave is really good about giving you the information or helping out.  Goes out of his way to do this. Look forward to seeing what you do after you get this info as well. Damn, I gotta wait. ha

Both great Livius... but I probably prefer the original version more and it is not because of what this is that shader does... rather how the appearance matches her being a courtesan... For example darker eye shadow could be more effective, but also conceal a trace of tiredness after being with a patron... same goes for a more glossy skin in the original version... But again that is my perception only... as the character is gorgeous and the artwork is of highest quality in both cases!!!

Thank you very much for your feed-back, my friend ! No need to "cheer me" or apologize in any way for what you said, in fact I prefer your true perception and honest opinion.
And, anyway, that's my opinion also: the first version looks better, at least in relation to the subject in question (a courtesan), as you very well said !

For my friend, audioslave74: the fact that the first version looks better doesn't prove in any way NGS 2 limitations, but my current inability to handle the settings of the shader; likely after a longer use and after I will experiment more with the settings of NGS 2, I can probably get better results !

Great Job my friend!

All are about tweaking!
You can take more details with my shader. You already know it from my renders!
As you can take more glossiness, and saturation!

As I wrote at my status post, this weekend I will post a guide and freebie script for NON-Genesis Figures!

Keep on your great work!

Both versions i like a lot, but...i prefer the first one you made, it looks as if the skin had more details. In this version the skin looks softer and a bit paler, as if she powdered her skin met make-up powder. I love the eye color you used here; light green., and her lips look better in this version, i have to admit
Allover; a gorgeous girl..All your portraits are sublime with a lot of detail and high quality !!
