Happy summer everyone! Worked on this illustration for the TFL cycling poster competition, but alas didn't get selected - on the plus side, it does mean I get to share it with all of you!
The brief was to promote the positive aspects of cycling and I wanted to showcase some of the fantastic views that you might just miss by conventional public transport - plus all the usual things like the health benifits, the green-ness blah blah - plus it gave me a brilliant excuse to play around with the early TFL poster styles, so I hope its evocative of them a little! if nothing else its a nice representation of summer in the capital I hope - have a good one whichever way you travel!
Created in Illustrator - pen, pencil tools with flat colours and some grdients. Colour adjusted with photoshop.

Gorgeous colours and I love the way you did the background so cleanly - the way they're shaded and put together is something I aspire towards. It's a bit of a shame it's not much bigger fullview!
