Hello llifi-kei
I have built the body of the Totoro and just has a question about the head.
By how many pieces did you reduce of the head? Is it a separate piece that you glued to the body, or is it attached with a reverse row of pieces?

Hiya RazorCrow,
For the head of the totoro, I attached it using a reverse row of pieces. I didn't reduce the number of units in the reverse row or the 1st row of units I attached to the reverse row, but for the 2nd row of units, I tried to slot each new unit on to 1.5 units of the 1st row.
I wasn't able to reduce the number of units further on the 3rd row, and from what I can tell from my extra pictures of flower-totoro, I didn't reduce the units on the 4th row either- they just seemed to come together naturally with a bit of encouragement. (I also didn't reduce the units on the 4th row of leaf-totoro either, except on the front of the head where I did the 1:1.5 thing again, although I have no clue why... )
I also uploaded a full-size photo of flower-totoro to Photobucket just then, if you'd like a closer look at how all the units are attached [link]
Hope that helps! And I'm really glad that you're trying to make totoro too, feel free to ask if you have further questions or anything
Happy folding!
- Kei

I would like to upload pics of him, but I feel weird putting up creations that are essentially "copies" of other things other people on this site made first.

Being 12,7 cm, that is 5 inches, the size of the paper used to fold the star, not the size of the star itself.
