Description
This is a collaboration with my mom, and the first time we made a custom wedding dress.Our client asked for a very simple looking, yet elegant, wedding dress, a bit fantasy and medieval-like, taking some hints from other clothes I made before.
The cloth of the body and gown is burette (cut on the bias in the gown), while the sleeves are made of chiffon. Colour is ivory.
The decoration is made with sage-green velvet ribbon.
I made the design of the dress, and the basic paper model, and helped with some stuff, but most of the sewing work was made by my mom because I was late with other works (and my mom is much better than me with hand sewing infinite gown edges
) Aaand, the background is our livingroom!

I'm just bussy wit improviseing a similair shape dress,for fotoshoot,I cut the bottom part in shape of half circle,but started little lower than the adge of fabriek,to get that alongated part behind,but I'm still not so sure about front part,where it get connected... Please,could You maby tell me what shape You have used to achive this nice shape down?,for up part I used readdy blause with butterfly like mangers also from transparant fabriek...now I'm bussy with that endless edges of the bottom,hehe,all by hand...

The back of the gown is round, the front, well, we just placed it on the mannequin and cut it horizontally..

Okay, thanks for answer,believe me it is very useful...when I did that dress I didn't have mannequin, so I had tu put it flat on the flor...
The upper part I sort of improvised, checking first on small paper form -(which I never did like from readdy paterns)- I just cut like it was fitting with that blause and that went quite good, only the fabriek in front sort of folds it self to inner mart around the knees,so that is not so best,but basically that shape I cut the whole puece work for that back part effect...

That's very cool. I've actually drawn up my potential wedding dress designs on occasion (the dress I want to wear myself). I need to refine it a bit more though but I hope to one day have a custom dress made for myself (I'm shorter than most females apparently in the U.S. *rolls eyes* go figure).

If I ever end up getting married, this dress is *exactly* what I would want to wear.
My only complaint is that if I got a dress like this, I'd want to wear it all the time, not just for my wedding

Then I have to tell you, that the girl who commissioned this from me, after the marriage asked me to cut the train, so that the gown was all the same length, in order to use it on other occasions.

Is 20 a size? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the numbers of sizes out of Italy...
but anyway, we made the dress, taylored on the client, so I think that could be done for any size. ^^

I adore the simple wedding dresses. Often times, when i go shopping with my mom, we'll look at wedding dresses, and I'll pick out pieces of each dress that I like, but if I saw that in stores, I wouldn't be able to add anything to it. its lovely.

This one was 550 euro + the fabrics and materials, as it's made completely custom, designed together with the girl who got it, made on her own measures, with 4-5 meetings to check how it fit.
