I actually didn't make the hair, I only posed it, I didn't model it. [link] Hopefully one day I'll have more knowledge and make a full step into 3D Modelling!

great! it appears you took your time on thinking about the scene composition, looks like it paid off in the final render.

This is your best work yet. She is absolutely stunning and very high quality. Not to mention you made her look alot like the picture. I really love this image. Composition, quality, style, pose, lighting, etc. The outfit in question would have to be created by pieces. You can tell I don't feel well today because I am having trouble thinking of exact products x.x I'm like expert on daz/poser content and can pick out something instantly. I have seen pieces like all those before but yeah, brain is refusing to work today so I can't think of them. But what I can think of... turned into like 50 links here and a lot of spam so I will note you.

Wow, great work again bro! Did you do this layered again, or all in one? The character lighting is really nice and has a great balance. The hair has rendered out nicly too and has alot of form, omething I can never get right with mine. If I was going to be a misserable bugger and make any crit, I would say maybe a tiny bit more blue in character lighting as bounce lighting from under her to tie in with the blue light that is being 'bounced' by the snow. I'm sure she will love it. I certinaly do!

Thanks for the product link, might be worth investing in. Whats it like render wise, slow, fast, average? Easy to define I know, but relative to other props youve used :S.
Have you tired adding with post work things like the snow, leaves from Mr Penguins pic, and the dust I think it was, from Run? Things like that shouldn't be to hard with a little practice and would save you rendering them in the scene. I'm not sure what the product does/is but am I right in thinking they are some sort of transparent plane effect? I could be totaly of the mark but none the less Transparency Maps and UE2 are not friends you see, which is why hair grinds things too a halt, so adding the effects as mentioned in post work should speed things up abit for you work flow wise.

Oh my god, that complete admission of being a lazy bastard actualy made me laugh! I wouldnt call it lazy it's just like you say, you are learning alot and its mroe important to let it sink in bit by bit rather than do it all at once. Step at a time, and bit by bit. If you ever need any help with photoshop then don't hesitate to ask! As I've mentioned before, I've used it for some years and has become second nature to me now so I should usualy be able to help you out and offer some sort of solution to most problems, although not so much when it comes to digital painting as that is something I'll be starting once I get round to by a pen and tablet and just keep struggling with the mouse for now and do what I can.

Well if you ever want crit for anything photoshop wise and you want me to get really picky but also give alot more info on fixes, workarounds and alternatives etc just note me wit a link to the image.
It's strange, because Ive used photshop so long I have forgoten what its like to first start using it and feel totaly lost with it, but it really is a great, and powerfull tool. For me photoshop is all about it being a digital image editing tool and what I can do with the best result, for the least work with no loss on quality of product, not like with DAZ and unfinished renders and working scenes that I post on here.
I first got into it after using Gimp as it was free and saved up to get Photoshop 4. I've never looked back since and have had 12 years of passion, fun, frustration and enoyment out of it and now a job from the initial interest in graphic design I got from Gimp. I spent 9 years just 'playing' with photoshop. For the first year I did alot of tutorials to pick up the basics but soon go bored with nothing but tutorials such as 'Cool Flames!', 'Swirly Rings' kind of thing which is nothing but filter after filter. I moved away from this and looked into photo manipulation more, and eventualy more what I would call 'design work' and moved away from photoshop 'effects'.
Moving to manipulation and 'design' is where you will learn most on how to use photoshop effectivly. If you haven't allready, go out and learn the Pen Tool! I would say it is one of the most powerfull tools you could ever ask for in photoshop and has use in almost limitless sitations.
It's strange, becuase all this time I have been trying to learn DAZ, I have never really used Photoshop to make my images look more appealing other than layering with blending options. I've never spent time just 'photoshoping' and using 'effects', 'design' and 'manipulation' to add anyhitng to the piece. Tasha: The Feeling is really the first time I've done it and was very enjoyable to do. I think you will see that more from me now, especialy as I always tend to have the boring 'studio' look due to the power restrictions. That's what I'm working on tonight on my overnight render. It's something I've not done for yeeeeaaaaaaaarrrrrssssss and there are a couple of examples of it in my gallery from a long time ago so it should be fun to see if I can remember what I did all those years ago!
And now,... I shall stop whittering on and hogging all your comment box. I think I got abit nostalgic :')
