Another Day, another Cryska drawing.

As with the Elma drawing I can only repeat that I like drawing underrated characters.

Though with this one I can understand it, Total Eclipse is a weird anime to get into due to slow first episode, the violent second Episode and the sudden tonal whiplash in the third. TE is not for everyone, and definitely has its shortcomings, but its still one of my favorite anime.

Cryska always felt like a more badass version of Rei from Evangelion. The fact that Mecha (the SU-37UB-Terminator) always looked so menacing and that it mirrored her design always appealed to me. Her counterpart Yui also does this really well.

I wanted to do a piece that focused on the Terminators wonderfully angular head and shoulders coupled with Cryskas aloof pragmatism that is just badass in general. The "pilot stands in front of their personal machine"-aesthetic is my absolute favorite thing!

Both her hair and face needed to be reworked once each, her chest needed six iterations until I finally got it right and I spent way too much time on her Suit to do all the lights and gizmos.
