when i was approached to color this linework - [link] - i was instantly drawn to the idea, mainly because the subject matter is so much more creepy and macabre than anything i usually draw. i thought it'd be a good challenge! so here it is. this is Celadore, the main character of Celadore and the Deal with Death .thoughts on whether this should be mature content?

This is excellent. The style is wonderful and distinct, and mature content isn't required, because it's not screaming at you. The feel of the image isn't one that assaults the viewer.

Ooh, creepy is right! Β She's not just disintegrating the way you usually see a character disintegrateβ¦this looks more real and physical. Β Just seeing those bones floating away! *shudder* And yet, Celadore looks like she can barely feel a thing, like she's already past feeling.
I don't know if I'd call this "Mature Content" -- it's macabre, but not gory (there's no blood, no appearance of her being in painβ¦).

i definitely think it's sad that a lot of nudity is immediately labelled as 'mature content' while violence is not taken as seriously, yeah. i agree with your view. but here on dA i can see the issues with nudity.. there's so much content with nudity that has a pornographic element in my opinion, but which are labelled as 'artistic nude' by the creator, and if the mods aren't strict about these then it's a slippery slope to this site practically being a porn site (which it almost is... i browse through stock photos for ref all the time and it can be jarring, hahah).

I would say that is it mature content. I know i wouldn't want my son to see it. Usually they say that people can get hurt in childrens shows ans what not as long as you don't see ant blood. I dont really know how they would feel about bones, though..
