I love these so much! would it be possible to share the secret of how (for example on the blonde) you gave her hair that kind of distant, fuzzy, watching-a-3D-movie-without-the-glasses look??

i used a mix of gaussian blur, noise filter and some chromatic aberration

i used the gouache brush from my brush set - just at a lower opacity!

I love your artwork!!! You're my favorite artist. I look at it all the time for inspiration! I just started using my wacom bamboo tablet that I bought in college again and decided to try studying one of your busts using the tutorial you provided on Pencil Kings. I know It's really rough and unfinished but I still want to share it with you. Right now I'm working on developing my painting and drawing skills with digital media, character development and coming up with my own art style. I hope I'll be as good as you someday!!!

How do you get the noise/blur effect around your drawings?

it's a combination of gaussian blur, chromatic abberation (which you can achive with the 'lens correction' filter), and noise

do you have any tips for your style? what artist influenced you and like how long did it take you to come up with your own wonderful style? I've been going at it with faces for a while and it's hard for me to really go out of what is realistic

you can find lots of info on that here - loish.net/faq :] and this deviation shows pretty well what my major influences are: loish.deviantart.com/art/influ… (planning on making a new, more detailed one soon though). for me, referencing disney and comic artists like auroreblackcat really helped develop my style!
