This is wonderful! Do you use poser or daz/studio? I love Aiko and do a lot of work with her, but since I can't afford the full version, my stuff doesn't come out half as good as yours. Gorgeous!
Personally, I like how she seems to melt into the background, very ninja-esque.

I use poser, but I have also used DAZStudio as well. In this case, I had to use poser for the cloth simulation.
You might be surprised to find out that I don't do my renders in either Poser or DAZStudio. I use some freely available tools called Poseray and Povray to do that work. Povray is an amazingly powerful render engine, but the learning curve is really steep. I have been using the tool for 2 years now and I feel like I have touched on half of its capabilities.

Is poser freeware like dazstudio? I'd be interested in downloading it if it is. I'd also be interested in learning more about Poseray and Povray.
I've been using Daz for about 2 months now and I'm settling into it's capabilities, though I'm still figuring out some stuff.
But it seems like most of the freebies I find on the web are for poser, not daz.

Very nice patterns. So your color of the moment is pink too

I've always been partial to red. Pink is just a light red, right?

So you don't just use the software, you write it? Interesting...

Since I'm in the mood to say so, I will...
...if you've hit a wall, and commissions don't interest you since they're so much work... and requests would fall under the same creative dampening abilities... why not open a suggestions journal post, where people can suggest elements to an image (as opposed to specific images with specific details) and you can go through the replies, harvesting elements you like and combinging them into something that interests you?
No need to reply, I just wanted to say that. I have far too active an imagination so anything I'd suggest would be too much work ^_^;;;;

I understand what you mean by experiments, some of mine are worth showing off, others are like... I want to show, but people would question why I bothered. Ah well XD

Oh... okay. Still though, that's rare. Most people only use pre-made software and tweak setting, not actually write code. I was about to ask about commissions, but then I took the time to find your journal entry about it, I'm not surprised actually. Given that you have to hand craft your models you'd either have to put so much time into your work that you can do it with your eyes closed, or charge an arm and a leg for the work you do. Still though, I apprecaite what you do since it's not all tanks and rooms and other "clean" architectural objects.

Very cool! She must be a ninja, because she's fading into the background. Given the wild pink colors of the BG, her ability must be huge! LOL I love the fabric usage! It had a real looking thickness and weight to it. Very impressive render!

It is not metallic. It is a trick with using AOI pigments used with normals in MegaPov. The effect reminds me of a really thick silk rug or something like that.

Oh, there's too much stuff to try. I want a month off! It looks very cool, a nice effect. It does look thick, like a jacquard fabric.

I was experimenting with the blending of textures tonight. IT WORKS! The following is an example of the syntax.
material{
texture {
aoi
texture_map {
[ 0.00 Texture03 ]
[ 0.05 Texture02 ]
[ 0.42 Texture01 ]
[ 0.50 Texture01 ]
}
}
}
