I hate pin-ups.YET I SOMEHOW MANAGE TO DRAW THEM ANYWAYS, WTF?!!!
This was originally going to be a figure study, but then it turned into something really gross. I've been looking at Hyung-Tae Kim's stuff, which is awesome. So I thought to myself, "well, if I imitate parts of his style, I could be awesome too!" But the truth of the matter is, I'm not Hyung-Tae Kim, and I'm not awesome. BUT I CAN DAMN WELL TRY, HAHAHA.

Anime style is still confusing me. I don't think I will ever be able to adopt anime proportions- not that I really want to.
Man, I really hate pin-ups. T_T And somehow these horrible boxes I draw around all of them make them okay! But regardless of my loathing, I'm fairly happy with how this came out. I'm beginning to worry that I won't remember my original style.
LINES ARE SO ANNOYING because I usually start from a big blob of color and then add lines last. T_T and that takes forever to clean up - so sometimes I get lazy and leave places dirty. Filthy, even.

Please don't belittle yourself. There's no reason, as clearly seen here. Listen to those who're telling you to keep up with your style, because you got a nice style.

Don't go for anime style! I don't mean at all that there's anything wrong with it, but eventually you end up getting sucked into this werid vacuum where people will only favourite anything VAGUELY anime even though you've got some other superspectacular art.
It's good to have a balance. :]

Her proportions are PERFECT! It's so nice to see someone who can create a beautiful piece without it becoming crude...don't get me wrong though, as I do enjoy the occasional bouts of hentai and ecchi, but this kind of realism is still something that I prefer and find it sorely lacking these days.
Please, PLEASE keep up the fantastic work!

I love her proportions! It's nice to see one with real shape to her instead of double-E breasts and a big round ka-dunka-dunk on a 20 inch waist. I think it's easier to imagine your character as real that way. She's sexier for being realistic.

Yah, totally got to lay in the lines, even it it's rough, first. I'm revising that green fencer piece and oh god, redo-ing the lines is *such* an ass pain.
But for all yer bitching (lol,,kidding) this is really appealing. She really looks like a woman, a young one, but not some uber-anime girl with unrealistic proportions and the face of a 5 year old.

Very nice job on the proportions and colors! Interesting to hear you do the outlines last, that's the part I always have trouble with when using painter and end up leaving them out almost entirely.. ~o~ In any case, your method comes out wonderful!

well, its great as both, you shouldnt hate pin-ups, i dont really like the iea of pornography and i dont really like art deco as a theme however my artwork lately has been a modern commentary on art deco (called Art Necro: The death and reconjuring deco) and you've hit something here because it is a pinup and its not at the same time its not stylized as one so dont worry you should be safe from others who dont like pin-ups
