Description
John Thornton and Margaret Hale, from Elizabeth Gaskell's North and South. This was inspired by the 2004 BBC adaptation "North & South"
After watching the series an embarassing number of times and falling in love with Richard Armitage as Mr Thornton, I just had to draw him and Margaret. Be still my shipping heart!!

You drew and colored this marvelously, and I just love the atmosphere you've created here with the snowflakes, steam, foliage, and the construct in the background. Both characters are depicted very nicely here, and I like the way you portrayed a twirling motion with Margaret's dress. Their clothes turned out really nicely, as did their faces and hair. Great attention to detail. One of the very best North & South artworks I've seen on DA.

I finally got to see North and South and immediately had to come to deviant art to look for a picture. I thought Thorin was the only character I like him as, boy was I wrong. This picture is awesome.

I fell in love with the BBC-adaption and later read the book (I chose the book as a subject for an assignment I did this December), and I've been quite sad there isn't more fanart on DA, BUT THIS IS AMAZING! I love it
