Dean is almost Ben's father, except that he isn't. That was never his blood in his veins, and he can't replace Lisa.

They're not family. Their families were lost, years ago now.

But blood doesn't really matter anymore, so if Ben calls Dean "Dad" sometimes, if Claire comes to Castiel for silent comfort, if those children are the only ones giving them the will to go on, then -
