Yeah I'm not dead. Life just decided to get in the way. Plus the added creative slump I've been in didn't help matters. Well thanks to a good friend of mine... I decided to literally dust off the tablet after a year in storage and see how badly my skills plummeted.

Note how Knight is marked as a Predacon. She is a Predacon as a species not by faction.

Knight is still a Striker. I figure that the Primes of old relied on Predacons as bodyguards and eventually after time bred an elite group of the beasts for the strict purpose of serving them. The subspecies was dubbed the Strikers. Strikers serve their Prime till death, whether the Prime perished of natural causes or falls in battle, the Prime and their Striker forge a bond while the Striker is young. The bond is forged through the Prime's link to the Matrix. If the Prime perishes naturally or in battle the Striker, where ever it may be falls with the death of a Prime.

Knight and her companions Excalibur, Charger, and Paradox (soon to be designed and drawn...) are cloned and modified descendants of the ancient Strikers. Shockwave didn't know what he had when they were bought online. He thought he had programmed them to obey his and Megatron's commands. But deep down it was the Strikers bred in instinct to obey none but the Primes.
