Description Would you believe there are actually FIVE DWARF PLANETS IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM, a fact that no one bothers to mention anywhere??  Meet Ceres, Haumea, and Makemake, three other dwarf planets I never knew about until pretty much today; these probably belong in Holst's Planets Suite expansion pack.

Ceres (left), named after the Roman goddess of agriculture, grain crops, fertility and motherhood, rests comfortably between Mars and Jupiter; as a dwarf planet, she's the largest object in the Asteroid Belt and was discovered in 1801.  The fact that we've never heard of her is, while not surprising, still highly disappointing after Pluto's dethronement.

The Hawaiian fertility goddess, Haumea "help you?" (middle), lends her name to a dwarf beyond Neptune's orbit found in 2004 with an unusual shape; while no clear pictures exist yet, based on the light trajectory, it's theorized that Haumea is actually egg-shaped, or a spherical oval (because "ellipsoid" is a little hard to visualize).  As a goddess of fertility and childbearing, I thought it only fitting to depict her in such a state.

Makemake (right) is fun to say, despite the fact that I don't know how it's pronounced, and stems from the god of fertility whose depiction was found on Easter Island.  This trans-Neptunian planet was discovered shortly after Easter in 2005 (true fact: its code name was "Easterbunny"), and was named after the chief god of the "Bird-Man Cult," a group of Easter Islanders succeeding the Moai era (don't ask me when that was.)  As chief god of the birdbrains, I thought it would be suitable to depict him in similar colors and visual design to a seagull.

Let me know what you think and HELP TO INCREASE DWARF PLANET AWARENESS! Thank you!
