EDIT: Well after getting a new monitor, I discovered the blacks and grays were off. So I've redone them. I'll have to do it to some of my other drawings also (not the first time this has happened to me wiith a monitor).Been wanting to do this one for months, and finally got around to doing it.
In case some of you don't know the movie, Cannonball Run was one of the best car movies to come out of the 80's. In this pic' ponies have taken on the role of the characters:
Pinkie - Victor/Captain Chaos (Dom DeLuise)
Fleur - Pamela (Farrah Fawcett)
Dash - J.J. (Burt Reynolds)
Derpy - Dr. Van Helsing (Jack Elam)
Berry Punch - Jamie (Dean Martin)
Trixie - Morris (Sammy Davis Jr.)
Octavia - Marcie (Adrienne Barbeau)
Rarity - Jill (Tara Buckman)
Luna - Sheik Abdul ben Falafel (Jamie Farr)

This is a win! I have seen this movie a number of times and always find it nice. Movies like that never seems to be made today and that's sad. (And I just love the black Lambo) .
Anyway, the artwork is very nice. Of cause Rarity drives the coolest car and Pinkie as Victor/Captain Chaos fits like a glow fits the hand. Very well done!

This is great! I know that Pinkie Pie is Captain Chaos (played by the late Dom Deluise in the actual movie), but who is J.J Mclure, and Doctor Van Helsing?

JJ is Burt's character, and Helsing is the crazy doctor that rides with them.

I actually meant "which ponies are supposed to represent which character", but I now think that Rainbow Dash is supposed to be J.J Mclure, and Derpy is Dr. Van Helsing, since they both have derpy eyes. Obviously, Pinkie is Victor, since she's wearing the Captain Chaos costume.

Magnificent. I half expected Blueblood as Sheik ben Falafel, though. And while Derpy is probaly the best choice for Dr. Van Helsing, she still kinda falls short of the utter madness on display in the movie. It's hard to think of ANY pony in the show that could match that.

I saw the film a million of times, is the best, but unfortunately I only found it in english and it's not the same. The best scene is the last once with captain caos. And the fight between racers and bikers.

I'd love to see how they handled the big battle between the drivers and the bikers at the end. Who would the bikers be? Diamond Dogs (they are about the same IQ level...)? Changelings?

That's a tough call. The dogs definitely match bikers, but it was the Changelings that actually got their asses kicked in the show.

It also helps that the Dogs have the basic total shocking lack of anything like a brain that seems to be a prerequisite for villains in movies like this.

I prefer classic American cars, like the Hudson Hornet, and the '57 Chevy Bel Air. But I can appreciate a good foreign car too.
