Description
So this was my Halloween costume. I sewed the whole thing, but I had a lot of help with it. My friend cut out and pinned the base of the coat and then helped me quite a bit with the mane and tail. She also helped me with the ears. There are in fact two. My grandmother showed me how to attach the sleeves, and everything else I kind of just figured out on my own. The whole thing is fleece. The wings are actually filled with some quilt batting to make them kind of poofy. The tail you can't see in this picture is filled with fabric scraps in the bottom and then sculpting stuffing for the rest. The wings were actually cut out in two layers. They then had the "feathers" sewn onto only one piece before they were sewn together. I then filled them with quilting batting (annoying stuff that) after turning them right side out and then I sewed along the lines for the feathers. The cutie mark is all hand sewn while the rest is machine sewn. (Finally figured out the machine.) I know the cutie mark is too large, but in my defense it covers what would be their hips if they were bipedal. My hips are large. Also I might have sewn the butterflies too high up and was just too fed up with them to redo the whole thing. My Little Pony is not mine, but this costume is. took the picture.
