twilight, meanwhile, is learning that it's not the best idea to leave her hubbo and daughter alone and unsupervised for too long

Pandora, despite how she later pretends the opposite, is a monster. She was born with strong, innate urges to generate chaos, mayhem, and destruction. These activities don't really gel well with the pony populace, which is how she comes to be seen as a menace by most. This is a strong factor into her eventual decision to become a true princess, so that she can prove to the ponies that she is ultimately "good".
