*mild season 9 finale spoilers*
since the show gave us a glimpse into the characters' futures and showed how the mane six looked middle-aged, i figured i'd do my own take on them. This is a project i was working on last month and decided to finally finish. Here's the pandoraverse "Mom Six"!
I know Lauren Faust meant for Twilight to become Princess Celestia's successor (and the show reflects this with Twilight's future design), but ehh.....I always thought that was kinda dumb. Nothing about Twilight ever indicated she wanted to be the princess of friendship, let alone eventual ruler of an entire nation. Twilight is a nerdy shut-in who prefers books to ponies....the show kinda obliterated her personality to make her Celestia 2.0. I dun like it. So!
My Twilight Sparkle is the same Twilight of seasons 1-3. She's a kind and selfless leader, a loving friend, and always willing to lend a hoof to a pony in need. But she's also got a sarcasm streak a mile long. She's impatient, eccentric, and a bit of a snob (she grew up sheltered among Canterlot unicorn elite, what do you expect). She's nerdy and neurotic, prone to anxiety, and just a tad socially awkward. She has an ongoing rivalry with friend Starlight, whose magical talents leave Twi a bit salty (she's the princess of magic! An alicorn! How'd she nearly get her flank handed to her by an ordinary unicorn? Never mind Starlight is ten years older and more experienced, hmmph!) Twilight considers herself the princess of Magic more than friendship, and she places greater value on making magical discoveries to benefit Equestria, rather than teaching ponies how to get along. She can lose herself in research and reading for days, often falling asleep drooling on her textbooks. She is also the worst dancer Equestria has ever seen (and Discord just loves that about her).
i know lots of people imagine future Twi as tall and elegant but i like her short, chubby, and kind of a doof just let me have this

Discord will often tell his wife how absolutely stunningly beautiful he thinks she is...this is sincere, but seeing how Discord purposely picks the worst times to tell her this (like first thing in the morning after an all night research bender and Twilight looks like she’s been battling the Tantubus seriously girl run a brush through your mane) she rarely takes him seriously.

Jacqueline Apple (Applejack)
-more like Applejacked amirite
-excellent head for business
-formed a lucrative partnership with Barnyard Bargains. AJ ain't rich but she easily keeps her family comfortable
-Still down-to-earth, honest, charitable, stubborn as HECC
-New hobbies include building homes for creatures in need
-Built a soup kitchen right onto her house. "You always have a home at Sweet Apple Acres!"
-Very wise, Twilight considers her advice a godsend
-once kicked a timberwolf through a fucking tree

Rarity Belle
-Fashionista Suprema, a leading industry name
-stress sewing habit
-emotional eating habit (strawberry ice cream is her go-to)
-secret punk rock fan, guitar enthusiast
-Has extraordinarily rare gem locator ability
-Loves bubble baths, red wine, and saucy radio dramas
-Picks up technical skills quickly, can take apart a tractor engine and rebuild it sparklier

Pinkamena Diane Pie
-the teeniest bean of all
-fluff for days, cotton-candy scented
-10 pounds of squee in a 5 pound bag
-fluffster chubster
-party all day erryday
-Baker, Cupcaker, Party Maker
-possibly the most well-adjusted of all her friends
-Owns her own joke shop

Capt. Rainbow Dash
-tiny jock
-commanded the Wonderbolts for a brief stint before leaving to form her own aeronautics group, the Rainbooms
-kind of a meathead, kind of an egghead
-champion at carbo-loading
-learning to manage her ADHD
-still penpals with Quibble Pants
-quite possibly the fastest pony alive
-still rivals for life with Lightning Dust
-still admires retired Capt. Spitfire
-volunteer coach at junior flight camp

Doctor Fluttershy
-Licensed veterinarian
-soft-spoken but assertive

-studies monsters and diseases for funsies
-Besties with literal chaos god
-Ponyville knitting champion
-probably reads a lot of vampire romance fiction
