well lookit that, sometimes canon throws me a bone

Luster Dawn was a part of the MLP finale that ended up growing on me, I think she's sweet. That's why I decided to shove her right into my big horsie fanfiction universe as a long awaited FlashBurst crotch goblin. More on Flash and Sunburst's relationship here: Sunshine

Luster Dawn ("Dawnie") is the wee beloved babberino of one royal wizard Sunburst and one royal guard Flash Sentry. Although both these clowns wanted kids for a good long time, their busy lives serving the Crystal Empire kept them rather distracted, right up until the delivery stork apparently got fed up and dumped a foal into their lap. Our dear Mister Flash Sentry is a trans stallion (because I said so, and because I've been 100% for the idea ever since the dastardly suggested it: ), and while he was initially a bit annoyed at their lack of planning, he eventually shrugged and seized the opportunity to skip out on guard duty and lounge around the house gobbling ice cream and watching saucy soap operas. And that's how Equestria Luster was made!

Dawnie is her daddies' spoiled sweet little princess. Her special talent is magic, though she struggles with the occasional random power surge. Although intelligent and studious, she's a bit scatterbrained and prone to forgetting things, making wild assumptions, and interrupting others when they speak (though not mean-spirited, she's just trying to show she's paying attention!). Because I headcanon Sunburst to be the younger brother of Sunset Shimmer, that makes Luster Sunset's niece.....and also the younger, squeakier, relentlessly chipper cousin of Midnight Abyss, who Luster is inexplicably fond of. Luster will eventually be a new personal student of Princess Twilight Sparkle.

all this being said, be nice in the comments y'all. If you personally think Luster is a Starburst nextgen or an unrelated character or whatever, cool, i don't care, that's fine, my headcanon doesn't affect yours. Just don't argue about stupid horse ships in the comments, please.
