Edit of the infamous "Head Stab" fanart.If 4Kids ever did a remake of Higurashi, I assume we'd see A LOT of sauce bottles and pinata's where blood and guts should be.

Funimation didn't dub Higurashi; another company did but I forgot the name. 4Kids dubbing Higurashi would mean the end of the world. D:

Geneon started doing Higurashi, but then they shut down Geneon USA, and as such dumped all their dubbing projects. Now they only operate in Japan.
But a little while ago, Funimation re-licensed Higurashi. They haven't started releasing it yet, but I imagine they will within the next couple years.

Thankfully, Funimation rescued Higurashi from license-hell, so I don't think that's likely to happen. Unfortunately, Funimation is one of the last people I would have named as candidates to do a good job on it.
...But whatever. When I rewatch it, it'll probably in raw Japanese, so it's a moot point
