Hello there!

So this one is a big one!
It is made for a project of publication expected to happen within the following months in France, but I can't talk much about it for now. I'll keep you guys updated when I know more, and when I can talk about it for real.

This painting was vaguely inspired by a song by RoBERT (a female singer from Belgium... I think she's from Belgium at least...).
The final product here is not quite what my original idea for it was, but in the end it turned out relatively ok.
I'm not super happy about the background to be honest, in spite of all the time I spent on it.
The whole background and foreground is a mix of hand painted elements and textures made by myself with Filter Forge, then treated and painted again. It was a lot of work and the final result doesn't really show that I think.. Ah well, the overall feeling of the piece is still there, I think.

Anyways, I hope you like it.

Photoshop CS2, Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet, too many hours to count... (I'd say around 30 if I had to guess.)
Textures made with Filter Forge (I love that addon)

I might add some details or step by step progress in my scraps later.
