I really like this character. Something about him is drawing me in. ( Maybe I'm just a sucker for long-haired guys.) His expressions are super dynamic and I like how you used head positioning to convey the certain emotion. Good Job!

Awesome reveal!! I'm really loving this guy. I like that you were able to tell us about him without revealing any major spoilers or anything. It makes sense a man his age would know how to manipulate people with words. I'm really curious about the Crimson Thorn (Souldiercross has it too!? ) and what his great big evil plan is . . . but I don't want spoilers so I won't ask and just wait till it's revealed in your story(I like to figure things out for myself) and I'm guessing we will get to see more about it in his wish task. I would however like to know more about his ancient past. How did he come up with the Ilicit Arts? Is he just a naturally bad person or did something happen to make him so evil? Does he have any family left (being that he's so old, they're probably all dead)?

I'm delighted to read that!
You're right! Souldiercross and Shiik both have the Crimson Thorn. Very good observation. ^^ And yes, you'll get to see more in the coming Tasks. Thank you for your patience. :3
How did he come up with the Illicit Arts...Well, he didn't exactly. I have to remind myself that Souldiercross is never original, meaning he doesn't create. He's a copycat. So whatever he found in the Sol Arts- he took what was there and twisted, warped, and corrupted it with darkness.
No, he wasn't always bad. In fact he was very good! The best of the best. But, I guess you could say, the evil of humanity...changed his views in a way...
Family? Yes. He has one son that's alive somewhere. His wife died a long time ago. But his son is dead to him. Doesn't acknowledge him at all. (And most Steorra live to be very old. They're immortal as long as they don't get killed in battle, or eaten by Darkbloods. But only about a handful survived after the Blood Wars).

"When darkness falls. Who rules them all? Leaving tales of fear and deceit. You're on the path of honor for the glory that you seek" Reading that gave me the chills, you have an amazing way with words. I am really curious now, what exactly is the crimson thorn?

Iiiii, didn't. I'm ashamed to admit. That's why I put the "*" there. The lyrics belong to the Alternatives songs that I put after the main Theme songs of Souldiercross in the description. The only reason I put them there was because they discribe him perfectly.
What is the Crimson Thorn? It is a curse and tactic found in the Illicit Arts. As I said in the description- Souldiercross cast it along time ago on Shia's bloodline: and so handed down to Shiik. Nobody knows exactly what the curse does, just that it is said that tragedy follows those who bear it.

I already adore this character; oh boy, he's evil - but he makes for such a great antagonist. Now, this an absolutely interesting character with interesting hidden motivations, and a wonderfully dark design! First things first: his dark eyes, pale skin, and inhumanly bright eyes make for such a lovely atmospheric villain, I cannot help but admire your character design! His facial expressions are wonderfully drawn, and I like that he - like all Steorra - also shows emotions through the positioning of his ears, especially considering he seems to be a perpetual smiler otherwise. (Also, gosh, his anger expression is absolutely powerful! Love how you worked dynamics into his hair!)
As for his story - what would he want with Shiik and the Crimson Thorn curse (and why do I have the feeling it is connected to 'those whom destiny would not allow to die')? I know you won't answer that question, because it probably contains spoilers (), but it makes for a wonderful story premise - and this question will keep me bound to keep following your story for sure.
His power sounds rather terrifying, and I like how he can sway people through his sheer charm voice, and how he creates a benevolent image of himself through continuous plotting and changing perceptions of himself. He sounds like a formidable and subtle opponent indeed. I cannot help but fear for Naika and Shiik (and anyone else Souldiercross lays his eyes on, really...)

I'm thrilled that you think so!
Now if I can just stick with this design and not go astray in drawing him...
Heh heh. Well, you did tell me that you didn't care if you got spoilers or not. So I actually could up and tell you. Unless you've changed your mind?
Oh yes. His voice is an ancient, and powerful thing indeed. Now that I think about it, he is a bit like Saruman the White from J.R.R Tolkien's L.O.T.R.
Shiik and Naika will need all the help they can get for sure...
As one person wrote:
He had served countless kings, faked countless deaths, and bided his time waiting...

Yes, indeed. ^^And thank you!
Then let us begin!
*WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD*
Yes. A "forked tongue that is sweetened with honey" type thing. XD There are a few who can stand up to him. It is possible for one to do it themselves, so long as they can steel their minds completely against his will, but it's not an easy feat to achieve. At one point, yes. That is how he got Naika to give in to him. Though Souldiercross had knowledge of his past beforehand, which helped in stirring the hatred in Naika- revenge for his father's death. How come he came to be so powerful? Well, I'd have to go to the beginning to answer that one. ;3 Soldiercross was one of the first Steorra to have ever been created, and as such, he was a lot more powerful than others to begin with. He was once good, but now...
Well, in one word he was waiting for one person, and that person is- Shiik. Or rather, what Shiik has in him as far as a specific power.
What is his true goal... Now THAT is a MAJOR spoiler! (Are you CERTAIN you want to learn? )

AT LONG LAST I HAVE SOME TIME TO REPLY, I'm so sorry it took so long...! :')
First of all: thank you for the spoilers! I'd love to receive more of them, if you'd be willing to share as much! Your story is utterly fascinating, and it keeps getting better the more you reveal, even!
I can imagine Naika and Shiik (...and everybody else, really) would have trouble facing a powerful opponent like Souldiercross; he doesn't just possess the ability to use the Arcane arts, and to twist and turn his way into anyone's minds, but he also is ancient - I had expected him to be dangerous, but had not realized your characters are up against such a mighty opponent...!
What kind of power does Shiik possess? Is it the same reason he is also able to wield his blade? And PLEASE do share Souldiercross' true goal, if you'd like! (And - after seeing Souldiercross' In Private task, as well as Wish task - is Shiik's ancestry the reason he's so focussed on Shiik?)
(Also, this is a pretty accurate depiction of my mind reacting to your spoilers --> )

THAT'S TOTALLY FINE - EVEN THOUGH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT WHEN YOU COMMENT- Okay, I'll shutup now. XD
Heh heh. XD You're welcome! I'm totally willing as long as you're willing. ^^ I'm very flattered that you think my story is worth looking into.
Oh yes. Very much. O.O In fact, there's a point in time where they realize they are absolutely no match for him, and that it's an impossible feat to defeat him. Although, there is a way.
Shiik possesses the ability to open the door to the Deep, which is where the Dark Entity resides. He's what is known as the Gatekeeper and is one of many in his family bloodline. As for the blade...I never actually of that! So maybe! Heh... ^^
Why does Souldiercross want to open the Deep? Girl, you've got a loooong history lesson coming! XD You asked for it!
Souldiercross believes (or likes to believe) that he is doing the world a favor by riding humans of their power and influence over the earth, as he has seen what their kind do as far as wicked things. The Steorra were sent by the Composer to guard the earth and help guide humanity. Unfortunately Souldiercross perceived that mission a very different way after he saw what humanity was capable of doing (in the worst possible ways). He thinks the way his race was going about it was wrong, and sought to rally others to his side (which he succeeded) and thus began the conquest of humanity and put Steorra on the top. Since he believes all humans (ever since their Fall from Immortality) are influenced by evil, he seeks the power to control the source of that evil himself: The Dark Entity, and thus control the human race. Since Shiik is the key to opening the Deep and controlling the Dark Entity, Souldiercross placed a curse on Shia's bloodline (Shiik's ancestor as you know), to be passed down to each and every Gatekeeper. Hoping that one day, he would succeed in taking control of one of them and succeeding in his plan. And THAT'S where the Rawgna; Crimson Thorn (spinal curse that Shiik has) comes into play. The Rawgna, once activated, gives one the power to control the cursed one, putting their minds to sleep as the host takes over.
(Oh noz! Not her poor brains!!! )

I WISH I COULD'VE COMMENTED ON ALL OF SOULDIERCROSS'S ARTWORKS :'D (Still, I'm glad to hear you enjoy my (sometimes a little too extensive) comments! )
As for the spoilers, thank you again - the more I learn, the more intriguing it gets!
Souldiercross truly is a villain that has no real match, so I genuinely wonder how he can be taken down before it's too late, before he gets hold of power over the Dark Entity itself. (...Can (selfless) love defeat his plans? Can Shiik withstand him through sheer power of will and love or dying? and is this why Souldiercross fears Shiik self-sacrifice and death most of all?)
I wonder if Souldiercross has kept an eye of Shiik's family ever since he figured out the bloodline would be transferred - and genuinely, I wonder what drove Souldiercross to become so focussed on banality of human evil. The mission of the Steorra truly is godsend, and it's sad to hear that - although they are so powerful - they could not guide humanity, and that Souldiercross eventually decided to want to take drastic measures to... bind humanity to his will?
That being said, can the Dark Entity be killed, or truly defeated? And was Souldiercross willing to be influenced by the Dark Entity itself for the sake of ridding humanity of evil at some point?
The Rawgna clearly is a frightening and powerful curse, transcending time, and the more I learn about Souldiercross and his plotting that spans centuries, the more he gives me shivers...
He is one hell of a villain - and definitely an interesting antagonist! ;D

You still can! There's no stopping y- Jk, lol. I'm just grateful you take the time to look at little old me and my sketches. ^^
XD You're quite welcome! I think? Lolz. Ask me anything you want, anytime. I am more than willing to share. *w* Extremely happy that you're even interested.
A very good question indeed. ^^ All I can tell you (unless you ask) is that Shiik and crew definitely can't do it on their own. You're hitting all the right points!
Well, he's definitely tried to. XD I would have to go through great detail and another history lesson to answer all of that.
Can the Dark Entity be killed/defeated? YES. But, it's not that simple. XD
I honestly don't know. I don't think so. He knew it was a possibility, but was determined to keep his independence. Unbeknown to him though, the Dark Entity had already influenced him from day 1.
Indeed. He's just awful.
Thank you!! It makes me so happy you approve of him.

Oh man, he and Lonoke totally need to sit down and compare manipulation notes. I think they'd get along, as long as neither tried to dominate the other.
Also I totally get what you mean about spoilers. There are parts of Sayest's story that completely ruin the biggest twist of the book. I've just had to talk around them.

Probably. Ha ha ha. XD Although he might indeed try to use Lonoke. Souldiercross doesn't really care for humans that much... They're all pretty much playthings to him.
Yes! Another writer who understands! Although it's a bit hard for me, because I haven't touched my villain in a long time. I almost feel ashamed. They do say if you don't have a strong villain, then you don't have a strong story. I think I know what they mean now...
