Description One would figure painting in black and white would be easier than color, but it's not, there are things color is very forgiving with that B&W will not stand for, every shade of grey must serve a purpose or the whole thing just looks odd.

Intuos 3, PSCS, a few hours...

Painting in black in white a good starting point before jumping into color. If you don't know how to manipulate value, color is just going to be a headache because you have to deal with value, color temperature, AND chroma. Sheesh

Brilliant rendering on her face. Good use of soft and hard edges. Her body does seem our of focus though..but I'm sure you'll finish it.

actually I had to paint a top on her, so the I didn't pay that much attention to the skin underneath.

well not this person in particular, but I have seen it on another friend of mine, seems she has a Caucasian version of herself.

thanks, I think I might have to make my own "hair" brushes for PS though, I want the hair to be as realistic as the skin, still a little weak there.
