They often find them selves as underlings for larger beings. The most ideal situation for KLobolds is to be under a Benovelnt dragon that dont mind them and where the Kobolds can just mine and tunnel away, secure in the dragons protection. Kobolds skin has chromataphors in it and will often change their skin color to mimic their draconic lords and to communicate emotions.
