“Raspberry” Reilydia Valscrette

Raspberry was born to a rare union between a member of the Iron Armada and a poet and singer from the Jahannahn clan. Immediately she was regarded as an odd child, her temperament was mild, even for a Jahannahn. The child became a topic of much dispute between her parents and the warrior disappeared in a rage.

The remaining parent was heart broken but forced herself to carry on to raise her daughter, though she didn’t sing nearly as much as she used to. Raspberry rarely cried and when she did it was merely a whimper, barely audible.

She was quiet and soft spoken as a child and for this reason was ridiculed by other children. However, it didn’t seem to bother her much. At a very young age she was joined by a fire Flayke and as she got older her temperament didn’t change. She was gentle and seemed to never feel anger.

Things changed slightly in her teenage years. At the age of sixteen an older girl didn’t like her calm demeanor and attempted to provoke Raspberry. The younger girl ignored the jibes until the other girl tried to insult the honor or her mother. Then it was discovered that Raspberry’s anger wasn’t like that of other Cilessians. She became quieter and focused more on combat, increasing her skills.

She never yelled and every blow she dealt was perfectly calculated. The fight was broken up just in time by Raspberry’s mother. Shortly after the incident the young girl was joined by yet another Flayke of the Shadow variety. As she got older she was able to ‘unlock’ them and use their magical abilities, but only as long as her quiet rage didn’t take over and they only returned once she was calm again.

A few years later her mother became very ill and sadly died, but not before telling Raspberry about the love she had lost. Raspberry is now searching for her other ‘mother’.
