"H-ho-how d-d-do you know my n-name?" stammered Smudge, still crouching."It's me!" Firepaw meowed.
The house cat looked confused.
"We were kittens together. I lived in the garden next to you!" Firepaw insisted.
"Rusty?" mewled Smudge in disbelief. "Is that you?"
For s contest. everyone had to draw a scene from one of the books. i chose the scene where firepaw meets smudge again for the first time since he left his housefolk. i like how it turned out. woot for a proper background again! they ARE kind of fun... im still learning.
EDIT: thank you guys so much for the love this drawing is getting!
EDIT2: wow, on a different computer screen, firepaw looks much yellower than i thought he would be.

I almost cried at that part re-reading it the books LOL I was like "You can't even recognize your old friend and hes over there dealing with a dangerous killer that could kill him easily?"

I think the first series is a lot more emotional than the rest, although, I almost cried a lot in the second series.
