Description
Dalish Elf origin from the video game Dragon Age: Origins. The Dalish origin was the second one I played, though I have to admit I didn't find the Dalish origin that immersive compared to, say, the Human Noble or the Dwarven Noble origin.Anyhoo, this is supposed to be a female Mahariel, but I think this could also pass for a male one heheh.

I was a little disappointed too for the Dalish origins, compared to the Magi origins it has really a little influence on the story! But when I played to Witch hunt and DA2, I realize that the Dalish origins are more involved, which kinda surprise me.... I was really upset when the Tamlen matter was solved in the camp in THAT way...O.O

i love this. i actually really liked the dalish origin. i kinnda feel like the human noble origin is one of the most favorited out of all the origins. :/

Thank you I'm glad you like this. Actually the reason why I love the HN origin is because I got emotional when I had to leave my parents behind. I guess I was looking for the same kind of emotional attachment when my Dalish elf had to leave everyone behind but I didn't feel it.

My first warden was F!Mahariel, [ the whole thing with Tamlen made me cry like crazy 
I'm one of those strange RP players that doesn't make characters that I put myself into, but rather characters that I would be attracted to.
He was all brooding and hated everyone that wasn't Dalish, and I think what made it my favorite was the idea in my head that he managed to bring outside honor to his clan, though he did not think he would ever see them again, and somehow managed to find something worthwhile in outsiders by the end of the game. 
Enough of my blabbering, this is another great render, and I like that you've kept it gender ambigous. There are SO many female wardens in both fan-art and fan-fic that I'd like to see more male ones for sure, so thank you for leaving this one open to interpretation.

I didn't play any dwarf yet, but from all of the other origins the Dalish was the weakest... even though it had a lot of potential. I mean, I loved (and still love) their flavour, their druidic/shamanistic feel and their quest to recover what was lost of their elven civilisation, but... I thought that I'd at least have a chance to go back to my clan and recruit them...

Another lovely one! Yes, the character could pass for male or female, but it's still well done! And Bann Teagan!!! OMG! I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw his potential! I even wrote a oneshot where my City Elf ends up with him after Alistair breaks it off. Mmmmm, Teagan...

Oh yes Teagan! *swoons* One of the surprises I got from the community is that there is actually a lot of Teagan love going around. And with good reason! I'd sure like to see more of him in future mods.

The way this is done in itself is really lovely.. something kinda spiritual about it. I love your Warden works; can't wait to see what you come up with for the non-wardens (loving Sten and Zev.. and the gorgeous Bann Teagan.. ahh the Bann: my guilty pleasure! 
The dalish origin was a letdown to me too.. I really expected that we'd come across your companion (the male elf who touched the mirror.. forgotten his name) before Duncan recruited you, and there should have been something dramatic in that sense - if not further on the story.. somehow (hell, I'm sure they could have thought of a way). Considering that if you played a girl you also had the option of making out that you had a thing for each other too - and they didn't skimp on bringing old Cullan and Gorim, etc etc out later on in the game for the other origin stories. So yeh - something wasn't done right there! [/rant]

I do have too agree with you. So far I've played the Dalish, human noble and city elf origins, and I found the Dalish origin the least immersive. Too (how do I put it?)... forced, I guess. The mirror thing was pretty silly and not very convincing. Still, I adore my Dalish girl. Alistair does, too

Hehe when I made my Dalish girl she romanced Zevran XD I wasn't really a fan of him before that but after doing that romance I now have a soft spot for him. I'm mostly Team Alistair though
