Tah dah! At long last (since I forgot) the pattern behind my jack o lantern! (As seen here fav.me/d31xf6z )Based off of an image I found, though I had to do some inventing of parts that weren't there.
Same design process I do every year: decided on an image, simplified it, made it physically possible to carve. ...That last part is often questionable before it happens.
Please keep in mind, this is NOT a beginners' pattern (in fact my designs often worry me in the process... I should really make a general tutorial on my techniques). Also, the thin pieces like the nose and mouth will dry out rather quickly, so don't carve to early!
As always, let me know if you use the pattern! I'd love to know how it goes.

I would love to do this for my pumpkin this year but just making sire did you use the technique where you peel away the skin of the pumpkin so the light shine through for his facial features and carved the circle surrounding him?

Of course the pattern would still work either way you wanted to do it!

I just finished carving this! Definitely did not turn out as well as yours, I haven't carved a pumpkin in years, but once I lit it up I was happy enough!
