My art for the September prompt #3

I decided to take a picture of it outside since the brighter lighting brought out the colors, then got the idea to add some real leaves around the border.

Disclaimer: No trees were harmed in the making of this framing device. All leaves were rescued from the ground and provided with professional leaf handlers who supervised interactions between art piece and leaf kind on the set.

Decided to try something traditional. Experimented with colored pencils and lining pens. It was my first time using the pens.

Chasing leaves. :3

the front tree is an oak, but the behind tree is a made up breed of birch I'm calling fairy birch.

picture taken and uploaded from my phone since I am visiting the in laws this weekend and their scanner is....not good at all.

I'll upload a scanned version once I get home, but it probably won't be in time for the prompt deadline, this why I uploaded this version.
