Born from an unplanned pregnancy, Kallum lived a peaceful life with his middle-aged adoptive parents from infancy. As a little Litleo, he grew up in Figby with a lot of love and attention from his doting parents. He never questioned why his skin was much darker than theirs, why he didn’t inherit a grass-type totem, or why his parents were much older than his friends’ parents; little Kallum was happy being oblivious about that information. The three of them lived at Golden Rays Berry Farm, a farm that his parents owned and knew they wanted to pass on to their only son. He was happy helping his parents manage their farm, especially since he knew it would eventually be his one day.

As he got older, his feisty Litleo traits would spark a shift in his personality. He was hot-headed and impulsive. To release some steam, his parents signed him up for drumming lessons and he would sometimes roughhouse with the neighours’ kids. Speaking of kids, his curious friends usually asked questions; questions he couldn’t answer. ‘Why didn’t he look like his parents? …Why doesn’t his totem resemble his parents? ...Are they his parents?’ His confusion about the topic was as clear as day as the young Litleo would ruffle his hair in frustration as he couldn’t find the answer. When Kallum was 8, his parents finally admitted that he was adopted. Expecting Kallum to be angry at them for withholding this information from him for so long, the boy let out a sigh of relief and held them close. Finally, all that confusion can cease…However, this also brought up questions about where he came from and who his parents were. Little did he know, his birth parents were once locals! His mother was actually the daughter of his parents’ friends who also lived in Figby, and his father’s parents lived in Belue Springs. However, both of his parents moved from the island years ago, but pictures of them in their youth still hang in Kallum’s high school as both were star athletes. Even with that revelation, the boy was happy his parents raised him and that he learned the truth. To this day, he has no interest in finding or meeting his birth parents.

Adolescence
Kallum has always done well academically, partially because he doesn’t have much difficulty maintaining high grades and partially because he wanted to make his parents proud. Knowing he was going to work at a berry farm for the rest of his life, he spent a lot of time studying botany both in class and in the wilderness and took a greater interest in business and marketing classes. During high school, Kallum joined an after-school study group with other nerdy teenagers. Not describing himself as a nerd though, he enjoyed studying with his friends, especially a particular friend named Kenneth. The two boys knew of each other as children, but as their exposure to each other grew, so did their likeness for one another. After a year of knowing each other, the two started a romantic relationship and remained sweethearts for the remainder of high school.

As much as he and Kenneth wanted to marry each other when they were younger, their paths in life after graduation caused them to drift. Many times Kenneth argued that he has potential greater than he presents, and should attend university abroad with him. However, Kallum has always been loyal to the family business, and the thought of eventually owning it always filled him with pride; there was no way he’d give it up for a degree he’d never use. Kallum and Kennth’s shaky long-distance relationship went from arguments to taking breaks to getting together only to argue again. He knew ultimately the best decision was for them to separate for good…

On a day Kenneth came to town to visit, Kallum proposed that they should both move on, as they don’t see eye to eye anymore. This led to yet another argument, but unlike the previous ones, the altercation escalated from disagreements to harsh personal insults. In a fit of rage, Kallum, a full-grown Pyroar, ignited a burst of flames. He wasn’t necessarily aiming for Kenneth, but the burst caused him to scream in pain and throw a glass at his head, shattering and lodging a piece in his brow. That was the last time Kallum saw Kenneth. He’ll never forget the pain his ex inflicted and the burn he left on his arm from his outburst. This was the catalyst that caused Kallum to make the decision of changing his totem to one that not only fit his family’s vibe but also would (hopefully) alter his personality somewhat. He went from being a feisty Pyroar to a much more mellow Whimsicott.

Farm Owner
When Kallum was 25, his parents retired and passed down the ownership of the farm to him. They couldn’t be more proud of their son and knew he’d do an excellent job running the business. Nowadays, the Whimsicott goes to businesses to sell his berries directly and opens up the farm’s fields for berry picking. He’s happy doing what he’s doing and continuously studies ways how to improve the farm and possibly grow hybrid berries.

During his free time, he would go for strolls or hikes in the wilderness. He’d bring along anyone who wants to join, but he’s happy being alone too. He also jams out with Blake, a reserved Zoroark he befriended a couple years ago. The two of them started a small casual rock band, and sometimes perform on the streets of Oranbury and Habana, and sometimes at underground concerts.
