Somehow I'm really careful with the paint of my Cyberverse Knock Out figure.
Mabye because he doesn't like his paintjob being ruined, and probably because he doesn't have much paint at all!

is yours orange? i know the one that came with my drill was a bright red
but some people get orange ones too for some reason

What were/was the weapon(s) he was holding:
A purple saw and/or spiked stick (how the hell do they name such a thing?), then it's the drill version.
If he's holding a blue butter-knife, he's the legion version.
But thinking of those colours: are there specific colours for the 'bots and 'cons?
Mostly 'cons have purple weapons and 'bots have red, blue is used by both.

Well, sadly the Cyberverse fig of breakdown doesn't have a hammer.
I'd say: scale the figure up a little, add a hammer and call him a commander! (note: keep the gun, that's a cool gun)

Well, then you probably have painted yours grey (like in the cartoon) 'cause if you paint if it won't be translucent anymore, so it's unlikely to paint it purple.
But something else: I found out that Knock Out's weapons are very plastic-y, while my vehicons weapons are pretty rubber-y.
How are all the other weapons you have? (especially Breakdowns)

well my custom breakdown weapon I bought is plastic
as well as the kit i bought for my deluxe knockout, all plastic
cyberverse, most are rubber except Knockout's and flamewar's in the legion class line. apparently the newer ones have plastic weapons
the commanders have plastic as well

Commander I kinda figured to have very plastic-y weapons, but most cyberverse are rubber-y.
Well, that kinda sucks, because I like Knock Out's weapons-colour very much, and this means Breakdown's weapons aren't the same colour. (but still purple!)

you can flip it over and there is an additional peg point that can fit on his shoulder, may have to force it, but it fits

no there is a little hole on each shoulder between the tire and the armor
any legion weapon can fit into it, so you can arm him up

the top of the vehicle becomes his arms
and the rear part where the tire is is his torso
legs are the back wheels
he basically just folds up
