I swear, if they name the calf Cupid, I am going to facepalm so hard I'll see stars. Adorable though.

lol I don't think they will, they probably go with names that mean something Valentine's dayish I'm sure. But we'll see. Thanks!

Lovely photo of this adorable little thing Kinda cool to have the big screen's colours reflected in the water, almost matching with the little one's orange skin. Do you have any idea what makes it yellow, a special chemical or something?

Thank you very much! It's actually the colors on the fluke. I've heard different theories as to why they are an orange color. It seems to be common that the young are different colors from the adults, usually to blend in better. It might be the case here.

Oh, whoops, I'm not really familiar with the seaworld stage setting - excuse the mistake Okay, thanks! It might not even need to have a reason at all, some things in animals didn't specifically evolve for anything

It's ok
lol yeah, it might camouflage them a little better. I'm sure there's reason or another why they their white is orange lol

The white patch kinda reminds me of Orkid's

Yeah from a distance it does look like hers a bit. However when you can see the eyepatch clearly he's got another line going out. It may become more pronounced with age.

So cute. <3 It's interesting how they don't get their white coloration until later on, same with the belugas.

This photo is just perfect1 I love the colors, the reflection of the whale's tail on the water, and the spray coming off the baby's dorsal fin... I just love it!
