So yeah, again did this in the style of Nick Bradshaw ('Wolverine and the X-men' Vol.1). Was a lot of fun doing something in a different style. As you can see, I still suck at backgrounds, but I did put a few hours into it so some effort was made.


Bradshaw draws one of my favorite depictions of Wolverine. Short, stocky, hairy, muscly and big hands and feet. Can't get more perfect than that.


For those of you who don't know, the kid with the pink mohawk is Quentin Quire AKA Kid Omega. He's a really strong telepath, and he and Wolverine don't get along so good. In WATX Vol.1 he is attending Wolverine's 'Jean Grey Institute for Higher Learning' and as you can imagine he is quite rebellious and a general pain in the ass to Logan. Wolvie's right boot I totally copied from a pic Bradshaw drew 'cause I couldn't find enough references of the boot at that angle.

I recently acquired the first couple of trade paperbacks for Wolverine and the X-Men and have started reading them, so I must say you've done excellently in reproducing Nick Bradshaw's style and that's another version of Logan that I think you've mastered the first time. I think it's a good depiction for him as well as in that series he actually does look short and stocky whereas with some artists he's more tall and lean and sometimes a bit too smooth. It's nice seeing the uniform as well and for once intact though it really doesn't give that much protection since yet again he doesn't bother with sleeves when those armpits are vulnerable. I expect the boot was one of your favourite parts since he does have a nice pair and one of them is even relatively intact at least for a little while before the spheres finish the unstitching.

Quentin Quire is of course perfectly in character, though at least from what I've seen this wouldn't be the worst thing he's put Logan through or the first time he's been threatened with permanent detention. The T-shirt makes forΒ a nice touch and obviously chosen just to annoy Logan further and of course it will also take a while for the headmaster override to work with Logan laughing too much and probably straining his vocal cords before long. Of course Tony Stark will also be in trouble for inventing such technology and he and Logan are on the Avengers together, though I'm sure Steve and Thor have probably also fallen victim. Probably a good idea for Tony to invest in some Wolverinebuster armour though.

The spheres are quite versatile though and I imagine this is only the first wave with plenty of surprises in store, and they're well backed up by the classic Danger Room tentacles. I wonder whether Hank will have tried out the same program, though I suppose it's always possible he might even have been giving Tony some ideas for the spheres though he probably wouldn't admit that to Logan.

I almost forgot but once again there's a very nicely drawn foot with the wrinkling and slight flush of the sole and just the glimpse we can see of his toes and it only takes one foot exposed to defeat the Wolverine. While he may currently be deceased at least he's alive and laughing in your pictures and hopefully he'll be putting in another appearance soon enough which I'm sure he will as soon as you get time and inspiration.

You've been missing out if you hadn't read them yet, but I'm glad you were able to pick up some of the paperbacks at least. So many versions of Logan so little time to tickle all of them. I really, really enjoyed drawing in Bradshaw's style and I'm so happy with how it came out. Took a lot longer than my usual stuff, but it was well worth it. I don't mind some of the versions of Logan where he is tall/lean, but shortie Logan has always been my favorite. The uniform was a lot of fun to draw, especially making those blue highlights in the dark areas. I LOVED drawing the boots so I let him keep one intact for the time being. But of course I couldn't let his feet escape being tickled so one needed to be destroyed.

Quire has no fear of the consequences since Logan threatens him all the time so really he couldn't think of a good enough reason NOT to do this. If you've reached the Avengers vs X-men part of the story then you'd know what Quire's shirt is referring to. Hank really should've taken into consideration the possibility that the headmaster override might not be able to be interpreted so clearly with everything that can go on in the Danger Room. I imagine Logan will be having a word with him about that later. It's possible that Quire could have stolen the inventions from Tony so it wouldn't be entirely his fault, though I'm not sure Logan would see it that way. I'm sure Tony's got some adamantium proof armor though to protect him from Logan's claws.

Oh yes, I'm sure there will be plenty more spheres and tentacles coming in to torment him. He hasn't shed any tears yet so he can take a little more before he taps out. Hank probably has tried out this program (just to make sure it works properly of course), and I could just see him giving Tony all those ideas for the spheres despite all the funny looks he might have received from Tony.

And yes, always love drawing the feet. Nice wide, wrinkled feet like this are my favorite to draw. I can't say Logan appreciates it though since his feet are his worst spot to be tickled (in my mind at least). It is my duty to keep him alive in my pics while he is dead in the comics so I'm sure you'll be seeing him again. Haven't had the time to work on them, but I do have a few pics I need to finish, including coloring that Sabretooth one I did awhile back.

Let's start off with a "Niiice...", and take it up from there.

I love how you copied Bradshaw's style, but also managed to possibly inadvertently pull off an inverse Liefeld with Logan's hands. The foot looks lovely, just as stocky as I expect it to be, though not stubby. The coloured outlines are a nice touch, as much as Logan wants to disagree, along with the hairy tops. I suppose Quire used robots to avoid Logan's usual tactic of not showering to deter any possible ticklers. However, I think Forge is going to be in trouble for installing such a lousy and unsafe voice recognition module in the Danger Room computer that doesn't take situations in which clear speech in impossible into account. As for the pits, it''s Logan's own fault for wanting to show off those (wonderfully drawn, BTW) muscles.

The details on his uniform are really stunning and precise, and i see that he's sporting a couple of pouches. The boots look stunning and the details coupled with such a neutral colour make the so rugged and sexy, though I'm sure Charles bought cheap ones, again, and used the money he skimped on the uniforms to hire some nice women of the night. The background looks rather nice, so stop defaming it, and the robots look a lot like nanobots I've seen in a newspaper article, except for the ones with the tentacles. The half old fashioned, half digital shading looks great, and I can't think of what "possessed" Tony to make these, except for the obvious two candidates.

All in all, this is quite a leap forward.

lol Well saying that I succeeded in not drawing like Liefeld I'll take as a compliment in itself. His stocky feet need to match his stocky body, and same with his hairy toes. I'm sure Quire used robots in order to avoid being sliced to bits by Logan's claws. Forge isn't around in this comic series, and Beast was actually the one responsible for all the computers and gadgetry in the school. So Hank is probably going to get a talking to once Logan finally gets out of there. Thanks for the compliment on the muscles. Too bad they're doing nothing to protect his pits.

His classic uniform is always fun to draw, but the belt with the pouches really added to it. And I thought the boots looked sexy too so I decided to let him keep one intact (for now) just so I could draw it. Charles isn't around either, and it's Logan's school so if anyone is to blame for cheap uniforms it's himself. It is better than a lot of my other backgrounds so I'll agree that it's not too bad. The little robots kinda remind me of those little Pokemon balls. The old-fashioned shading was pretty fun to do and I think it makes it look a lot better. I'm sure Logan's pissed Tony off countless times so it probably didn't take much convincing to get him to create something like that.

Well, if you pulled off a straightforward Liefeld, I'd be worried for your mental state. Of course, it's only natural and sexy. Maybe it was both, since Quire comes across as a male version of Frostie? Aww, poor Logan won't even get to give his tormentor a mental breakdown, and the worst he could do is not do anything... or... shave Hank while he's asleep. Too bad the muscles aren't being explored by a pair of human/mutant hands.

I'm sure those things hold two big flasks. The boots look perfect for ripping, to be honest. Aww, poor, poor Logan doesn't get to blame anyoneΒ  in this timeline. Is there anything that makes up for that? Has Jean at least left Cyke, or something? the background looks lovely, so it's better than "not too bad". Oh, yeah, they do look like poke-balls. It looks like it takes longer to do, in any case. Yeah, Tony might have even asked for a recording of the session for his own personal pleasure.

Well inevitably I'm sure they will reboot the X-men movies at some point. With a new cast. We still got X-men: Apocalypse in 2016 to look forward to though, and I heard Jackman plans to do one last Wolverine movie.

Still don't know if I'm good enough to draw myself. Course I haven't tried in years. Logan should know though that I'll get him back 10x worse. REAL me though is really hard to tickle and most people think I'm not ticklish. My feet on a scale of 1-10 I'd put at a 4. Not really that ticklish. I have a couple spots that are 10s though.
