It took quite a few tries to get this image to work, but I'm really happy with how it finally turned out. Still on my recent The Horse and His Boy kick, I decided to do a piece of Cor and Aravis on their wedding day, which took place some years after the story concluded. I got the idea for their clothes from a recent dual biography called Sister Queens about Katherine of Aragon and her sister Juana ([link] ). It stated that Katherine and her first husband Prince Arthur both wore white on their wedding day, so I decided to go with the same theme here.

The gold and silver pattern was a definite from the beginning, but I tired forever to include some blue into the outfits. In the end it just didn't work out, so I used it for the background. I tried to keep the styles relatively simple while maintaining an elegance suitable to the characters.
