I thought about creating Olivia's (also Genevieve's) mother, and Hiram Flaversham's wife, her name was Madeleine Fleur Flaversham (nee Chastin)

Madeleine was born in 1854 in Paris, France; to an upper class family as her father ruled the government, and the youngest of seven daughters (Magnolia, Maia, Marcella, Marian, Mariette, and Matilda). She was gullible, wanting to be with a man she truly loves and find adventure, despite her parents' strict by loving orders to marry and have children. When she was around 18, she was engaged to a British rat gentleman at a ball and they hit it off. But later on she discovered that her fiancé was actually a criminal, by drowning widows, orphans, and killing other innocent mice, was after their government and money. She called off the engagement, her parents mysteriously died the next day after refusing to believe her, forcing Madeleine and her sisters to flee from France to different countries across Europe to hide. However the sisters kept in contact through letters.

In 1874, she would later on come to meet a simple middle class toymaker mouse named Hiram Flaversham, after saving her from a group of thugs. They fell in love and four years later, they married and had two daughters, Genevieve (b. 1880) and Olivia (b. 1890). The family later on moved to London, so Hiram could start his toy store business and became a success.

Fourteen years later, (Genevieve was 14, and Olivia was 4) tragedy struck, Madeleine soon began to cough up blood as her respiratory system was failing (known as tuberculosis). She spend a lot of time in bed, as her health was failing and the doctor said she had two months to live. Hiram, Genevieve, and Olivia continued on in their daily lives as nothing was wrong, because it was Madeleine's last wish.

In her final night alive, Madeleine called both of her daughters to her and Hiram's room, lying in her death bed, Genevieve took her mother's paw into her own, clutching it tight as tears rolled down her face. Olivia stood by her sister, knowing that she wouldn't see her mother again. Madeleine gave both her daughters, a final lesson, that when she's in Heaven, she would watch over both of them, when their father is gone, she will guide them to a soul that would help them. She advised to Genevieve that true beauty and personality lies on the inside of the mice with good hearts, and that she will look for that when she marries to a mouse she loves and passed down her beloved necklace to her eldest daughter and also a bracelet to Olivia, promising that she would inherit it, when she's of age. Genevieve and Olivia never forgot their mother's advice.

By the next morning, Madeleine passed away, making the whole family mourn for a year, but remained strong, bringing them a lot closer than ever before. Hiram did all he could to support his daughters, and Genevieve began to work on dresses, in order to sell for extra support, though Hiram tells her to relax and let her enjoy life.

This is how I pictured Madeleine to be, and she might make a cameo appearance in my Great Mouse Detective Fanfiction story.
