"Aaaugh…" I groaned as I woke up in the morning, a few weeks later.
The OS was long over by then and we were probably the only ones who remained in the city. I still had some unfinished business to attend at the National Park. I was only missing one more…
"Wake up sleepy head." I head Yuki whispering in my ear.
"What time is it? Aaaaugh…"
I turned around to look at her, lying in bed right next to me; her face red as always, but with a big smile running across it.
"It's 9:40am. Your breakfast is ready." She said in a sweet voice. "I prepared your favorite; toasted cinnamon bagels with Philadelphia style cheese and ham."
"Wow. Thank you. What are you having for breakfast?" I said and then kissed her good morning. Her lips tasted a little bit strange that morning, a little bitter even.
"Umm…well…" She hesitated a little bit. "I had some eggs and sausage today and drank some milk afterwards. It tasted a little bit bitter, but I drank it anyways since it was still good."
"Eggs, milk and sausage…" I repeated her words until I experienced epiphany and thought to myself. "Wait a second… holy f&$/ $/•%&!"
"Yuki, we've been out of eggs and milk for two days now and I don't remember having any sausage in the fridge yesterday! Please tell me you didn't do what I think you did!"
"Well, what are you ev…?" Her mouth and face froze as she started to read my mind; viewing that single image that had stuck to my head after my sudden realization. Her face turned a deep, bright, red hot color as she laid there in bed staring at me. "K-Keitaro…"
"Ah! No! Yuki, I'm sorry! I'm sorry you ever saw that!" I turned a deep red similar to that of Yuki's and kept apologizing; clearing everything out off my head. Unfortunately for her and I, what has been seen cannot be unseen.
"I can't believe… you would ever think… that I'd do that to you…while you sleep." She finally spoke. "I asked Gallade to go and buy us some groceries just this morning. He bought everything again."
"I am very, very sorry Yuki. I didn't mean…"
"It's okay… I don't mind." She spoke in a calm, timid voice. "Go on; eat your breakfeast before it gets any colder."
"Yuki…I…"
"Go! Or do I have to pull you by the ear?"
I said nothing more; she's always dead serious about it. She'd pull anyone by the ear to make them have breakfeast, especially one she prepared herself.
As soon as I sat down in the little kitchen table it was like heaven. The smell of a toasted cinnamon bun with raisins and blueberries in it and cooked ham was a delight.
"Thank you, Yuki. You know how much I love this." I thought as I took my first bite, my mouth melting from the flavor as I felt the warmth of the bagel against my paladar. I took bite after bite out of my favorite breakfeast until there was none left on my plate, drank my orange juice and stood up to wash the dishes.
Looking in the direction of the calendar I saw the date. Thursday February 14th, is what it said there.
"Hey, what do you know? The Bug Catching Contest is on today." I said and then thought to myself. "Crap, it's also St. Valentine's Day! How could I be so stupid enough to forget ?!"
"It's all right, Keitaro. It doesn't matter." Yuki said right behind me.
"Yuki…" I turned around to face her. "How can you say something like that? Of course it matters! I say I love you, but I forget St. Valentine's Day? I…"
"Keitaro, really. It doesn't matter. You've been too busy and stressed up these last couple of days to even remember it. I don't blame you. Besides, every day I spend with you is my Valentine's gift."
"Yuki…" I kissed her with all my heart, all my soul and love pouring down into that single, long, passionate, lustful and love filled kiss.

Meanwhile Yuki and the others got everything ready to leave; I finished my business up at the National park. "All members complete." Read my checklist.
