thanks! yes, gimp is cool enough - i think i won't be needing big brother photoshop for quite some time yet - i want to get as much as possible out of gimp first. (this was made with the applying a gradient of somewhat exaggeratedly cheerful colors, tewaking it a little with IWarp, correcting the colors in different sections, and then applying the polar coordinates filter on top of everything. i guess photoshop has the same/ similar effects and more?
