2017 goals
- DRAW MORE
Like, moooooooooooore. Expecially sketches and practice.
-> I think I'm getting better at this, but it's still hard because of mood swings - WRITE
I need to really start putting those stories on paper (on screen?). I noticed that what blocks me is actually the illustration part so... I don't know... Need to figure this one out - MODERNISE MY STYLE
I've drawn/painted some really cool stuff last year, but I've changed, and so has my style, and I need to accept it. For now, I want to figure out a way to keep some elements I like from my old art and make it fit my new style ^^ - VEGANIZE MY ART SUPPLIES
-> all now vegan except for my gouache (didn't have an answer from the company). I will find a solution eventually!
Monthly summary
- JANUARY: Peter
Winter is really really hard for Luala. I've been through a very long artblock and didn't produce any finished illustration.
I have however drawn quite a few sketches for practice and for collabs. - FEBRUARY: Blue skies bluuuue skies
Two (too) popular background paintings, more work on commissions and collaborations (backstage work you can't realy see) and a lot of anatomy studies.
Definitely getting better at drawing more, but it's still very linked to my mental state, which isn't at its best in winter. Please, pleaaaase spring, please... - MARCH: Hope Full
Probably one of my best pieces ever, feeling really proud.
However, I'm still really late in my due work and it makes me feel like crap. Emotions are on the floor at the moment.
But the weather became really nice the past few days, I might get better soon if I get to go out and run in flower fields this weekend ^^ And I really want to get better for you guys... - APRIL: Spring Bride

Hard month, didn't do much art wise, and I fell bad about it.

There you go! The piece that cracked my butt in two. I pushed myself really hard with this contest and collab piece and I'm... eh... pretty happy ^^

After that huge piece, I focussed on contest prizes, collabs and studies. Also did a lot of crafts this month.
Now I feel kinda overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to do next month. - AUGUST: Sinjin [contest prize]

Several family events, so I ended up with only study sketches. - OCTOBER: Inktober17 07 Where are you hiding?
Successfully complete Inktober once again. I feel I'm getting better at this challenge, and even though I wasn't always happy I'm still content with the overall outcome.

As if we didn't have enough blue ^^
Inktober was so exhausting I didn't do much this month except from exercises, and still, only at the art studio.
I also have a bunch of sewing projects, but I need the perfect set up for photographing them. - DECEMBER: Umai

for me it's a great motivation to post at least one piece a month.
seems like nothing, but sometimes, when you feel really down about your art, you can easily skip months in a row

I committed to doing a video or more a week on my pixel art channel, and that means at least one piece a week. I know the feeling of lack of motivation, or even energy some times after a long day at work!
