All well and good for the artist to remove their own works, but from a group admin stand point, it isn't an option. And dA still hasn't made group galleries searchable. Which means we have to comb through EVERY folder until we find all entries from the artist if we decide to remove them.
Banning/Blocking someone from the group seems to have mixed effects. Sometimes it removes their submissions, but quite often it does not. Our group has 119 submittable folders, some of these folders have thousands of submissions (the largest is around 35 pages @ 120 per page, 42 pages is the limit allowed by dA ~5000 deviations)
For us, removing deviations from a problem (former) member takes HOURS.

And yes, in one of my groups I manage the gallery and sometimes it's so hard to find unappropriate deviations that slipped through
Not to mention the lovely DA bug when you remove/move a dev from a folder if breaks the page and you need to reload it all
...
it's kind of enfuriating to feel hopeless...

you may need this:
- when you leave a group: sometimes they may ask you to remove your art from there
- when you accidentally submitted to the wrong folder in a group that accepts art automatically, you can re-submit by yourself without bothering the admins
- in groups with monthly themes where you can submit old art: if your piece was already submitted to the group in a regular folder, you may need to remove it, and then re-submit to the monthly folder since askin an admin to do it would make them go nuts ^^
