Finished!!! My first dark drawing
Graphite (HB, 6B) on daughter's rubbish paper scribble pad, so much graphite it made it curl..! But I love it 
Will try to take a better pic tomorrow as it's rather dark now here's link for WIP [link]

I love how you do that mane and forelock. I love using the 6B (so much so its little more than a stub >.>) My only crit is the far leg looks a little...odd. Not sure if its the proportion or the shading, but they don't look even.

thank you, I was quite pleased with the mane too AND I have used about a third of the 6B on this drawing
The leg, well, I was aiming for it to be slightly forward and up as though the horse has shifted it a bit (no reference), I was not too happy about the legs, did them in a bit of a hurry as my younger one just woke up from his nap. Probably will try to redo them a bit. Especially now you've mentioned it too

I see where you're coming from on the leg lifted, but I do think a little touch up might be nice. I understand the rushing. Usually, by the time I get to chests/legs, I'm so tired of the piece I rush and wind up wanting to cut the bottom off XD Like I said though, its a very stunning picture and idea.
