My part of an art trade with ~wolfs-rain-amanda !She asked me to draw Knuckles, Sonic, and her character Maadna hanging out. Since it's been so nice outside, I decided to draw them eating ice cream! (Obviously, Knuckles is having a hard time handling his cone. Lol. Must be his gloves.)
This is what Amanda drew me!
Isn't it gorgeous?
I tried hard to make this look good, but for some odd reason I'm just not satisfied. After fidgeting with it for so long, I finally decided to just finish it off. Sorry Amanda.

I can see that Amanda loved this quite a fair bit The concept of this is great, and just perfect, and not to mention you got the character's designs and personalities on the nose. I want that ice cream Maadna's got =__= lookssogood

The whole story behind the picture makes me smile. XD Poor Knuckles. He can be very clumsy. I just love Maadna's expression! It's so cute. XD You know, you're very good at drawing expressions for Sonic characters. I have the toughest time drawing them! D: Anyways, Sonic's expression makes me laugh. Fantasic job! X3

I don't know really. I think the shading on Knuckles, and well... Knuckles over all, looks dorkish. I tried to fix it, but I got frustrated. Heh.

My Mobian expressions are kind of cartoonish, which makes them easier to apply. Yours, on the other hand, are more realistic to go along with your realistic shading styles. x3 I think you're great at Sonic expressions!
I just cheated and used shapes and gradients. It's the easiest way for me to make a half-way decent background. Haha~ *fails* It's finally starting to get warm around here, which is nice! It's raining now though.

There's so much detail in here~ The lighting, the shading, the colors and EVERYTHING else is just sooooo amazing! I just absolutely LOVE it!!!

Aww, poor Knuckles. Looks like he dropped half of his ice cream on the ground. I feel bad for the poor guy~ Maybe Maadna will share some of hers with him if she doesn't eat it all. xD

I figured Sonic would eat an ice cream cone this way. He seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't take the time to "savor" his food. xD I'm glad you find him funny~ That was my goal!
I think Knux's gloves makes it hard for him to control his scoops. Lol. I had a fun time drawing his expression. He's all like "Wtf?! My ice cream!" Hopefully Maadna will share. I bet Knuckles was pretty disappointed after dropping the top part.
I was afraid I wasn't going to capture Maadna correctly, since I don't know her characteristics very well. I'm relieved that you like how I portrayed her.
