This is based off the series "the fire within". I'm tired of seeing pictures of the dragons in that series with only two wings- in the book it clearly states many times that the dragons have four spiky wings on their backs. SO, this is what they might look like. This is either Gruffen, the guarding dragon, or Gawain, the "last dragon on earth" as explained in the series.
Sorry to people that haven't read this series, you're probably really confused XD
Drawn With Photoshop Elements 6 (I was at a friend's house) and a Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

This is kind of an old picture to me, so I'm really glad to see some people still like it! And you're right- it does have a bit more of a Gawain look to it ^^

(I'm not familiar with the series and you didn't say what gender this dragon is so I'm just assuming "he" for the purpose of the comment)
You might want to think about where his wings originate, as they seem longer on the left side (his right side) and appear to come from further across his back. Again, you might want to use a softer brush for the black lines, but in general this is a good picture and you've done well to blend the grassy texture of the hill he's sitting on around his feet and tail.

Yes, it is a he, you guessed correctly. This, actually, was a doodle, and I drew it at a friend's house so I was unfamiliar with their version of photoshop. So, it was bound to be off. I'm still working on finding my style, as well, so thank you very much for the suggestion!

Incidentally (don't mean to keep leaving these long suggestions but I'm prone to being overly helpful) I find that using lots of layers for different elements of the picture is helpful. You could in future draw the wings on a separate layer than the body so you can move them around until you think they look right.

Interesting! I always have many layers but usually have the main creature's outline on one layer, it's colouring and misc on others. I could just select the wings only, or any certain part of the body, and move them that way which I have. Having it on different layers is a good idea, but I have a feeling that it's not entirely necessary.
