Description The long overdue Liara fanart. Seriously, I thought my love for Mass Effect would have waned by now, but it didn't happen.
Anyway, I tried some new things with this - new technique (bye bye blending, hello crosshatching), new working process (no transfering sketches) and new paper (not very fond of it - nothing beats my sketchbook paper ).
Of course, Liara © Bioware

Graphite and coloured pencils, 21 x 30 cm.

Fabulous work! I'm also a huge fan of the ME universe. Played all three, 3 times over. Just made a new profile in ME:3 because I like to play on my work breaks. Liara is one of my absolute faves, too. So is Aria. <3

Thanks, glad you like it! I feel like a giant ME nerd, but I can't help it... the game, despite some flaws, is just so awesome.
And yeah, I definitely have to draw Aria, since I work at Omega... it's a must

Haha... Aria's attitude is my alter-ego. If I were a in her position with that age and body, i'd be an Italian-mafia style bitch too! hahah!!! So many rich characters in that game. I love the game so much I don't know of any flaws aside from the limited romances. The Vega romance in Citadel bit. I always choose Liara with my Femshep. Dammit.... now I gotta go play! (switches on Xbox)

Well I wasn't a particular fan of the ending of ME3 and I really didn't enjoy the abundance of fetch-quests and the lack of decent side-quests. But the first two games were pretty much perfect (ME2 is probably my favourite of the series) and ME3 is close... I'm desperately trying not to start playing again, because then I wouldn't do anything useful ever again So at least I draw ME characters - I really should finish the Wrex drawing I've been working on.

Lolz, I hear you. The endings for me were not what I nor anybody expected but I wish they didn't cut it down. They had the extended dlc where it was explained better. Makes no sense not to do that in the first place. I bought the new weapons dlc add-on and LOVE the INDRA sniper rifle. It's semi-automatic and it's the only weapon I need. I play it between when I'm working on pieces and I time myself for an hour break so I eat while I play. I should probably go outside but meh... lolz! Wrex is AWESOME. I've played all the DlC's and for ME 3 - Omega was really worth it. Leviathan I loved because of the back story. Time to play again!

I haven't played the DLCs yet... I plan on getting a new PC, so perhaps than, with a decent graphic card
I really do hope they make another Mass Effect game! I don't care if it's with Shepard or without him/her - I'd actually appreciate a new protagonist. Preferably an alien, because hey, I'm a human in real world, I don't need to play one But apparently most people chose to play as human, so the alien thing isn't gonna happen...
Btw. have you heard about Cyberpunk 2077? [link] This is a project I've got high hopes for. It's also the reason I need a new computer. This and the new Dragon age game... Damn it, I'm such a geek

They are going to continue the Mass Effect Universe without Shepard. I'm so stoked! I have 2 Xboxes so that my b/f can play on one in the other room and we play with our head sets. I have seen a clip for Cyberpunk and it looks incredible! Also... I really want to play Remember Me. Looks incredible! I don't have a strong enough computer to keep up with all the specs. I just stick to console.

I don't have a console - we don't even own a TV, so I'm stuck with my PC. And it's way to slow even for Photoshop, and since I've started working as a graphic designer, I'm gonna need it (No, that's just an excuse - I really really really want to get a bette computer because of all the cool games that are coming!)
Gotta check out Remember Me - never heard of it Btw. have you played Dragon Age? The second game sucked, but the first one was awesome! The third one looks good too, though, I'm looking forward to it... it's Bioware after all, for crying out loud! It has to be awesome!
I'm working on another ME fanart, btw. (Wrex is already finished). I can't help myself I have to tell you, it's so pleasant to meet another ME geek

Haha, Likewise. Always good to jam with another geek. I swear, there aren't enough of us. I'm also geared up for Destiny by Bungie. Pretty exciting stuff. I met the Creative Director and he's incredible. Just went to FanExpo Vancouver this past weekend and had a blast. Met all sorts of ppl and some stars. Ohhh!!! Guess what! I totally got Jennifer Hale and Mark Meek to sign our Mass Effect Comix! (the voices of femshep/maleshep) Sooo dope! OH, and have you seen my boyfriend's cake of the Normandy? [link] It was for our best friend, Chris's Birthday last year.

I wouldn't be much of a fan of ME if I didn't how who Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer were! I'm so jealous of you! How are they in person? Mark seems like a fun guy, I like that he plays ME too (Though I usually play as femshep, so I'm more familiar with Jennifer's performance. She's an amazing VA - and it was so awesome hearing her in Avengers - Earht's Mightiest Heroes )
That cake is pure and absolute essence of awesomeness! And your boyfriend baked it? He's very talented, that he is. It must be almost a shame to eat such a cake, though... Oh, that reminds me, I need to paint Normandy one of these days...

Beautifully done, blebding is not so fun as crosshatching, and the final result looks much better and realistic than with blending, well done!

Thank you very much It actually feels more natural to me, I only started with blending when I got familiar with the photorealistic works here on DA... but the pictures tend to look a bit the same, I like that with crosshatching I have a chance to bring my own style into the picture. THough it'll require a bit more training
