I doubt they will kill him ... this season (have to laugh so not cry at their ...habit...of killing off characters)  but at least the popular ones (or ones with good stories) get brought back. Now how many times he appears is another matter all together as before this he's appeared in only 5 episodes.

Its because of the fandom calling for Gabe that they brought him back. I've watched a few  of the comiccons the actors been at, esp. the actor who plays Gabriel, Richard, where he asks "Who wants Gabriel back" or talks to ... the actor who plays Chuck/God and they joke why God couldn't bring Gabriel back.

I've no doubt that its his popularity with the fans that finally got Gabriel brought back in the show. One of those YouTube clips has Richard talking about how the fans can do it, that they've done it before.
Richard's one of the actors from minor characters that often shows up at these conventions. Which really helps keep his character 'alive' with the fans. Really. I don't know any other actor from the show that has had only 5 appearances (really that's the ammt of episodes that Loki-Gabriel appears in before this cameo in s13) that often appears at those things, thus making sure the character has a big fanbase.

I was surprised when he came back, bacause they said a lot that he wont be back. Anyways I'm glad he has a lot of fans. 5 episode weren't enogh of him and I hope we're gonna get to know him better. He was one of my favourite characters. Do you think that he's going to kill Lucifer?

I doubt he'll kill Luci now that Lucifer isn't out to kill all of humanity. 
Frankly I still doubt that Gabe planned to kill him in Hammer of the Gods. Fight him? yes but not kill.

I can't help but wonder if that was a real archangel blade or a fake Gabriel made meant only to disable another or make it difficult for Luci to reassemble and get a host for some time. Sure the fake blade is something I've read in some fanfics, a fave way to explain why Gabe would live through the stabbing  but the source of the idea doesn't mean its not possible. After all, it wouldn't be the first time the show took ideas from the fandom. The show has had Kevin use holy water in a water gun, a fire truck with holy water and even a tape recording of an exorcism on loop.
