*grins* Do you have this character printed out for your character sheet?! Because that'd be wicked!!!! I don't have good skills drawing characters, so I try to keep a prop handy that I can use to ground myself in my character.
My Superhero-style character from DC Universe has a clipboard for her prop, since she is a Laboratory Style person.
My WereWolf-style character is raven base who can transform human. I made her a black feathery mask. (with a black beak) It was a lot of fun to make and is a lot of fun to wear.

Yes I do! Though it kinda kills the printer a littler bit...
I like the prop association, I have yet to decide that for my character, when I do group drawings I like to do a prop with each of them, our gunslinger has a gun, a wizard with a spellbook, our sorcerer with a flame staff, our Cleric with a spear, and I can't decide if I should go bo staff or shortsword with my guy. And I say "group drawing", in reality I'm planning one but haven't started... Still learning humans! sta.sh/2rs45tru8bl?edit=1 Here's my practice on them thus far!
Since the majority of us in our group train in martial arts, we'd actually carry around our weapons and have some fun with small choreography when we did sessions outside. This is why I can't go to the Renaissance fair with them, they always somehow convince me to BUY THINGS.
Ooooooh that's so cool! Ahhhh nerds creating things is honestly the best, it's always so creative and fun!

Eeeek!!! Your art of the other characters looks so cool! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hmmm.... With your guy being a feline character, maybe some fur or a glove you've sewn claws into would be fun. Or maybe a cat mask. Hmm... Though, that's advice for Role Playing... not drawing the characters... I wonder what weapon (weapons) does your character tend to reach for first? ... Oh! Maybe if you thought of it this way: if someone were to cosplay your character with one item over the other, which one would you be most excited to see in their hand? (not sure this is helpful... I should move on now.)
YOU GUYS CAN DO CHOREOGRAPHY WITH YOUR WEAPONS!!!!? *whimper* I want to be able to do that... .
*cough* There's more than one reason why I haven't gone to a Renaissance fair in years; *a fly leaves my open, empty wallet*. I'm still broke from the last one I went to!!! *giggles*

Thank you so much!
That's a good way to think about it, I'd definitely say daggers, ever since she got turned evil she's become more assassin than monk to fit the alignment a bit more, thanks!
One of the players and I used to train together with the bo staff a lot, which is arguably the most fun to mess around with. I actually hope to one day take pictures of us doing choreography (This will be with my more professional team though) and post them online for artists to use as references! And possibly videos for animation references, ahhh I'd love to do that.
Haha, I really need self control when it comes to that... same with Comic-con. Critical Role came to Denver Comic-con last year though!!! So I really had no choice but to splurge... x.x

Ooooh, with a spider motif on the handle? To match the webs on the cloak?! a Dagger is perfect!!!! would it be a deceptively simple dagger? or maybe a wickedly curved dagger? maybe shaped like a claw or a fang? maybe jagged? Would there be jewels? Ooooh!!!! so many ideas!!! Will you be drawing her in an active stance? Like dagger drawn and held point out in front with elbow bent protectively over her chest, partially crouched, hood shading her face, a gleam of eye hinting she's about to pounce?! (oh dear.... if only I could take a picture of the image in my mind.)
O.O Would you be wearing a wicked cool mask for the choreography? That sounds so cool! And video?! That would be awesome!!!!
*gasp* YOU GOT TO GO TO CRITICAL ROLE?!!!! *so jealous* ... so um... what kinda loot did ya get? (*hides thieves tools* Nothing to see here!!!)

Ooh I like the spider idea!! It's a flametongue dagger, the pictures on it are rather boring, so I may have to enact some creative liberties there. When it's not ignited, maybe it could be black with some bright orange highlights that fade in and out... Hmm I need to get drawing.
Ahhh so many ideas! I actually have a pose in mind for after an assassination, with the character down on one knee, items drawn and looking back at the camera, utilizing my debatable skills in foreshortening.
I love the idea of being in a costume, that sounds like a lot of fun. For the professional team we'd all be in our gi's, AKA boring, BUT one of my friends wants to split off and do light saber choreography in a less professional setting, which sounds like a costume party to me!
YES, they we're absolutely HILARIOUS, one of the biggest comic-con attendances EVER. They had to use the biggest room in the convention center to fit everyone.
I got mostly dice (What? A DND player getting dice? Obscene!), a sketchbook, and some mini figures. So sad that they don't sell weapons

a Flame Tongue dagger!!! That's awesome! I can't wait to see it!!! o.o a post-assassination stance *gasp* in a dark ally in front of some brick walls!!!!
Costume party, choreography photo shoot, what's the difference?! Actors are just grown ups playing pretend after all.
I haven't taken the time to watch Critical Role's first campaign. I've heard it's really good, but I started with the second campaign because my friend Steve told me that the characters in that campaign were a little bit closer in alignment to the characters in the game I am running.
Did you get a chance to talk to any of the players? Is Mathew Mercer as handsome in real life as he looks on the shows? *gasp* You bought DICE?! *holds out hand* time to turn in your Gamer Card. *giggles* What kind of mini figures did you get? Were they of the mighty nein? Vox Machina? or were they other minis?

HA. That's so very true, it's our excuse to play pretend XD.
I'm the other way around, I haven't watched much of the second Campaign but I was watching Campaign 1 while I Was still in high school, and I still haven't gotten over the soul shattering... Damn you Matt! Why must you be a good storyteller?!
I'm struggling to get into C2, but I know if I watch more of it I'll probably get sucked in too. Something about C1 was just so genuine.
I didn't get a chance to meet them, the lines were verrrryyy long. Haha, I'd say so! And just as funny too!
I just got mini figures for our own games and my characters

*squeeeee* He's such a good story teller. He's what I aspire to be as a GM! ... Though, that's like being a level 1 character and looking up to the level 20 character and going "ooh! oh!! me, too!!!". It's going to take so long to get to that point. *siiiigh* I'm confident that I'm now a 2nd level gm, though! I am definitely better than when I started.
I wanted to finish campaign two before I started watching campaign one, but... I think current events have made it impossible for them to continue recording like they used to. So the new plan is to catch up to the latest episode of campaign two, give it a few days, and then start watching campaign 1.
*grins* I'm glad you got minis for your own characters and games.

Ahh me too! I haven't had much of a chance to DM, the times I do, I try to be really animated, I have much practicing to do.
C1 is also a bit of a slow start since they already had things established before they started streaming it, but after the first few it's like <3 <3 <3 <3 MY HEART. ITS BROKEN.

I totally understand that, I have the same issue, I usually resort to a simple accent, even if it's bad. If the whole table can commit to it, then at least we can all look like idiots together! But that's the only way we'll get better at it.
Learning Spanish and German have helped me grab those accents a bit better - still needs work though.
One thing I love to do, is a few of us speak different languages, so I like to force the RP on us by writing/talking to a player in a different language to make them translate it. Like Draconic = German and Elvish = Spanish, it's really great practice since we're all forced out of our comfort zones anyways XD
Dnd is the best for everything, I swear.

Yeah... I suppose. It's not easy when everyone is better at it than I am. >.>
I LOVE the idea of actually using other real-life languages to represent the different in-game languages! Oh that would be so much fun!!!!
