Full view please! c:Down by the lake where the green grass grows,
There sat Loka,
Pretty as a rose
Whew, yet another commission done! A full body of the character with immense details on the background! For *therougecat and her amazing ocelot fursona- Loka!
First off, I want to hand out another apology on the picture taking so long! What, how long it'd take? Around two weeks? Anyways, even though it took that long to upload, I found it very easy to come up with a pose and a background, which leads to the overall hours I worked on this: 8 hours! Completely 100% Microsoft Paint.
With help from references, I really had fun doing this.
And I am so satisfied with how it turned out! The stirring sky, the distant trees, the shimmer of the lake, Loka's eyes, her wings- I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do. ^_^ Although I HATED doing the grass. I don't do it very good, and because of the shading- it was hard to complete, and I found myself redoing a chunk of the green, spending over an hour and a half on it. Its not that bad, though a little scruffy.

It's just a matter of blending colors and paying very close attention to details and pixels. ^_^

Yes, I've been practicing pixels a little bit in iScribble. I might start doing a bit more in MS Paint. It's the patience that I lack

Let's see... I've been drawing as young as I could hold a pencil and write my name. That's at six years old when I drew really bad cartoons and attempted to illustrate my kiddie books.

I'm from a very artistic family, so it wasn't hard for me to get into it.
My moms an artist, my uncles an artist *ahem* ~alleman , my grandmas an artist, and my cousin *ahem* ~ShoePanther is an artist! (btw, your only one day younger then him!)
And yeah, I have drawings from when I was around 5-6 years old of Spyro the dragon, unicorns, and cows xD I also did little book illustrations of my own. (: I actually got into writing, and gave up on it when I was about 12 and got back into my art.
And I plan on using it for my future career, etc. (:

You're really lucky to have a lot of family interested in art and drawing! Come to think of it, I don't think I know anybody else in my family line who actually likes drawing. I'm the only odd one ^^
And that's great that you want to get into a career of art!
I don't plan on doing the same though, I can't imagine feeding a family being an artist... But I do think that in my spare time I can become a freelance artist. I like art more for a hobby than a job.

It's funny, because that day I came across your profile and saw all your Paint drawings, I felt inspired to lift up my efforts and try and master that program I've always used forever. You're the one that has taught me lots about Paint! It's true, I learned lots about blending and shading just from your pictures!

Yeah, I don't know how to use my Photoshop very good, and Paint is a very simple program! I just pay a lot of attention to detail and pixels, and blend a lot of stuff together to make it look complicated.

Same here, the best I have are gifts of some Prismacolors and Copics I've blown my savings on. I want Photoshop, but it's sooooo expensive.

I think this is probably one of the prettiest pixel pictures I've seen, honestly. All the detail is so, so beautiful O: I really love how you drew the background.
