What a beauty, is she your snake? Had she just shed?

Thanks!  Yes, she's one of my newest.  I've currently got 9 snakes total, with 2 more that I'm paying on and a possible third.

No, this is from after I first noticed signs of her going into shed.  She's currently still in her shed cycle, this is before that.  I noticed the first signs of her going into shed a little over a week ago, a day or two before I fed her, and she went blue earlier this week.

Cool, what breed is she? How old?

Well, snakes don't have breeds since they aren't domesticated, but she's a Brazilian rainbow boa, hypomelanistic morph.  She's 8-9 months (don't remember off the top of my head if she was born June or July).

I thought she might be a rainbow boa - I had just never seen one with her coloring. And yes, I should have said species, not breed, sorry!

Yeah the rainbow boa morphs are quite new!  There's just a handful of proven morphs: hypo, anery, Candy stripe, and ghost.  There are some other stripe morphs, but they haven't been proven out yet.  As of right now they're being considered morphs, but further breeding should tell us for sure.

It's an easy mistake!  We get used to dog and cats, I know I've mixed up some snake/reptile terminology with my fur babies before. haha
