For Ishida's birthday contest over at Bleachness. I wanted to keep the same sort of feeling of Airborne without copying it exactly, and I think it worked out okay.
The challenge was simply to draw Ishida, but he and Orihime contrast so nicely I couldn't not do her too. Also, somewhere Kubo Tite is frothing that I put Ishida in a sweater vest. Sorry, Kubo. I do it out of nerdy love.Lineart was about an hour with a mechanical pencil. Colored in CS2, about, uh, four hours? Maybe closer to six. i-i'm still learning shut up

Do you realize how beautiful this is? The soft colors really brings out such a pure, romantic, sweet aura. It certainly draws attention to the couple. It may be a little too bright on the right, but seriously the effects and shadings were done well.

omg, there's a cheesy 80s? 90s? Chinese love song called "Red Dragonfly" and it's a duet between a guy and a girl. This reminds me so much of that! xD;
