I finally finished a painting! I felt inspired to paint a pod of ghost whales swimming through Tokyo. This year Japanese whaling fleets have killed 333 minke whales including 53 juveniles and 122 pregnant females. Minke whales live up to 60 years and are highly intelligent and social and have been shown to morn their dead. The impact of whaling must be devastating.
