Description
Since no one of the three goddesses Athena, Hera and Aphrodite wanted to back off - they all considered themselves "the fairest" an independent judge was chosen. The apparently orphan country lad Paris.Little did he know, that he was a lost son of the king of Troy and did he think with the wrong bodyparts when he chose Aphrodite's bribery of "the most beautiful woman in the world" over Hera's offer of power and Athena's offer of martial success.
(If he had shosen the latter he could have had it all - but Athena overestimated Paris' intelligence)
